A1290109 Goliath is a 3-year-old, 73-pound, neutered male, Chinese Shar Pei mix.He entered the shelter as a surrender due to the owner not able to care for him. He was neutered by our medical team and had both of his ear infections treated.Goliath was a bit grumpy when he first came in, but he has settled down and enjoys being taken for walks and hanging out with people. He is a calm boy who plods along at his own pace, smelling this and that as he goes. He has lived with dogs and a `meet and greet` is recommended if you have another dog at home. He allows you to pet him and in time, he will warm up to you and his personality will blossom. Shar Pei`s are known to be loyal and intelligent. If you love this breed, now is the time to bring Goliath home!

Biffle (named after Greg Biffle the NASCAR star) is a gorgeous 5 year old red fawn brushcoat male fostering in Las Vegas.  He is great with other dogs both big and small. We are unsure about cats. He loves to play and even tolerates a chihuahua barking at him for more play. He has been great with the older teens in his home. We are learning he is very guard dog-like with new people entering the home, so we would NOT recommend a home with lots of people coming and going. He would do best in a home that is willing to work on this behavior or crate him initially. Once he has a proper introduction, he is indifferent to his new guests. He loves his backyard and uses a dog door. He is completely house trained. He could use some work on his leash skills, but is fabulous in the car! He does love to snuggle with his foster family and quickly claimed his spot at the end of the bed! He has had entropion eyelid surgery, is up to date on vaccines and is microchipped. Roxy is about 2 yrs old and weighs about 55 lbs. She came into the shelter as a stray so more will be known about me soon. A Path 4 Paws holds adoption events EVERY Saturday & Sunday from 10am-4pm at C-A-L Ranch, located at 232 N. Jones Blvd right off the I-95. Please bring your dog(s) for a meet and greet (if applicable) If you are interested in Roxy, please contact dogrescuelv@hotmail.com to confirm the dog you are interested in, will be attending that particular weekend. We have limited space at the store, therefore we can not take every dog out to the event. Roxy is spayed/neutered, has current vaccinations and includes a microchip, deworming and 2 free vet visits. Adoption fee applies. Please make sure you have read the information listed on the homepage for requirements and restrictions. Foster homes & volunteers are always needed. Please contact us regarding how you can help by fostering or volunteering for our organization.

Sure, you already have 206 bones in your body, but do you have room in your life for one more? Our good boy Bones is as sweet as they come! This lovable dog has a heart and smile to match! Bones’ fun-loving energy is contagious, and he’s waiting for you to meet him! But be prepared—you’re sure to fall in love. Bones loves all people! You can feel the love radiating from him. Although, Bones weighs in at 45 lbs, he’s a lap dog at heart. and will curl right up on top of you to let you know that he’d like some cuddles! You might even receive a few kisses as a "thank you." But, when you’re all out of scratches it’s no problem for Bones! He’s sure to invite you to a fun play session. Bones is a huge fan of squeaky toys, especially when they’re involved in a good game of fetch. He’s still got that puppy spirit about him and will jump adorably around the room as he chases after that toy! Bones likes to take his “good job” congratulations in the form of belly rubs. And Bones doesn’t limit his playtime to just people, either. He enjoys romping around with submissive dogs his size. The world is an exciting place for Bones, and he always enjoys going on walks where he can experience it all! Bones sometimes forgets not to pull when walked on a collar but does great on a special harness. He’s a smart pup, too! This guy always works hard for a taste of his favorite treat.
