Story
Meet Chevy Jum My name is Chevy and just like Chevy Chase in all of those National Lampoon’s Vacation films, I too took a road trip, but unlike Mister Chase, I didn’t have a family with me. Or at cool station wagon either. I was hitchhiking by patamobile all by my lonesome. I was several pounds underweight and all my ribs could be counted. I should be a 50 pound guy, but started off about 35 pounds. I am told I am a male *glances down under neath*, yep, 2 years old *rubs his tongue along his teeth*, yep, Chinese Shar Pei dog *wrinkles his already wrinkled brow*, yep, maybe a mix, but who knows with what. I have the teeny ears folding down tightly on the top of my noggin like a hanky in a suit pocket. A tail tail sign of a Shar Pei, plus I a furrowed brow even when there is nothing to be furrowing about. On human faces the wrinkles in between the brows are called WTF lines, which I hear ladies whisper to themselves often. In dog WTF means Where’s The Food. Due to my days of spending time on my own and having to actually hunt for food and doing a poor job of it. Like where do sammiches live even???? I tend to be a hangry eater and have to be fed sepawrately from the other dogs here. This may pass over time, but for now, be prepared to set me up a sepawrate dining zone. Other than my meal time ‘bouts of hunger flashbacks, I am typically, a friendly, happy, playful guy. I don’t bit any fingers off and take treats gently. I wait patiently for my turn at treats. I live with a small female dog and a large female dog and I never squabble with them, they are my friends. I am great on a leash and crate trained. I enjoy attention and hugs and ear scritches. So what do you say, do you want to be my road trip family? GOD'S DOGS Rescue, in San Antonio TX, does not have a shelter. Our dogs are raised in foster homes in the San Antonio area. Each dog comes spayed or neutered, up-to-date with age appropriate vaccinations, micro-chipped, heartworm tested and are current with monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE OF $400 for dogs over a year old, which also includes the cost of transportation to the assigned location. Medical records accompany each dog at the time of delivery and may be emailed to adopter prior to dog arrival if desired. Microchips will be automatically registered to the new owner after payment of adoption fee. The registration site we use is Michelson Found Animals which is free to use and update during the lifetime of your pet. Please allow 24-48 hours for the new information to appear on the website. God's Dogs will remain as a permanent back up registration for safety sake. Please visit our website http://godsdogsrescue.org/ for helpful information re: transport, our adoption process and application, volunteering and fostering, and photos of our dogs/pups looking for homes!! Thank you for wanting to adopt a rescued dog, their LIVES depend on it!

Story
Brutus had served as a great ptsd service animal and family pet. But unfortunately he is retired. And we are living in a very small home. And on 3rd floor in apartment. With a Cat that got abandoned by a neighbor. He's been with our family since 4mo old. He was never leash trained. Needs a fenced yard. No apartments unless you can provide proof your deposit is paid and you are on ground floor. He's getting old. And though he dose his with cats dogs birds mice rats hampster lizards fish kids and so forth. I prefer he be allowed to be the only dog. And to avoid marking. Maybe no cat? He must be indoor dog with access to outside. He had never spent s night outside. He hates the rain and dirt. He chews when his skin gets agitated. And because his breed you need to be sure to keep him well dried to avoid skin rot. He is allergic to rice! Other than that hes in well health. He's a great companion and guard dog. But we need a active working dog. Hes retired.

Story
**This dog is with Corridor Rescue in Houston, Texas** Hello, Kringle! Kringle was in rough shape when he was rescued around Christmas in 2019, but he's doing great now! Kringle was found tied to a pole in the rain. He had a swollen leg and 2 entropion eyes (not uncommon in Sharpeis), not to mention intestinal parasites and bad skin. Kringle had what is basically reconstructive surgery of the knee due to arthritis. And he had his eyes fixed. He's a new guy and loving life. He can be a little hard headed, as is common with the Sharpei breed, but he's as sweet as they come. He gets along with all the dogs he's been introduced to, also! Due to his knee surgery, he's been on restrictive exercise, but we have no doubt that he will love to take walks once he's feeling better. He loves to sniff out his environment also, and will occasionally chase after a toy that's been thrown. However, he's probably not going to be bringing it back to you. Kringle is uncharacteristically friendly for the Sharpei stereotype, proving, yet again, that you can't judge a book by it's cover. *** Please apply to foster or adopt online at www.corridorrescue.org Direct inquiries to: adopt@corridorrescue.org. The adoption fee of $225 covers spay/neuter, microchip and current vaccines. Transport is available and can be discussed on an individual basis. Thank you for considering a rescued former street dog for your next family member!
