Story
Piper recently arrived with Scout!Piper is a beautiful German Shepherd mix, aged 1.5 years. She has a sleek black and tan coat and is simply gorgeous! She weighs just over 62 pounds, and may still grow just a bit. Piper is a great dog! She gets along will with other canine companions, is house-trained and has wonderful leash manners! She even loves children and behaves wonderfully inside the home. She is perfect for a single person or an active family so long as no cows live nearby. Piper's one flaw is her dislike of all things MOO! A move to city life would suit her just fine!Piper tested negative for heart worms and is on preventatives for fleas, ticks, intestinal parasites and heart worms. She is fully vaccinated and will be available for adoption following her spay surgery. Come meet Piper! For more information, please email Stephens County Humane Society at schs@att.net, or call us at 580-252-7387 (PETS). Our animals are spayed/neutered, UTD on shots, and treated for ticks, & fleas. Cats are tested for FeLV & FIV; and dogs are tested for heart worms.Normal adoption fee for cats is $75.00; and $100.00 for dogs, but we frequently have specials running and/or animals who have had their adoption fee sponsored, so ... call us! Let us help you find your next fur-baby!

Story
Another gorgeous new dog here at SCHS is our Yote, pronounced Yoh-tee. Of course, Yote is not a coyote, but she just has a beautiful, wild canine look! She is a husky mix female, aged 1 year and 4 months. Her beautiful light cream and gray coat just add to her wonderful, warm, friendly nature. She weighs in under 40 pounds, but may grow just a bit more.Yote wandered upon a rural property and was gathered up by the nice person who lived there. Now we must work to find her forever home! Yote tested negative for heart worms and is now receiving preventatives for fleas, ticks, intestinal parasites and heart worms. She is fully vaccinated, spayed and available for immediate adoption. For more information, please email Stephens County Humane Society at schs@att.net, or call us at 580-252-7387 (PETS).
