Story
Elsa is a sweet little one year old Shiba Inu mix looking for a new home. Elsa's owners took her door to door asking people to take her. They thought they could keep her in their apartment without the landlord finding out, but that didn't last very long. Any horrible person could have taken Elsa, but fortunately, one of our volunteers heard about her situation and quickly scooped her up! Elsa is a little shy especially when meeting new people, but who can blame her. Once she gets to know you, she quickly warms up. Elsa loves to cuddle, is dog friendly and house trained. Elsa needs a kind person who will give her the time to blossom into the wonderful dog she was meant to be! She just needs to feel safe again! Elsa doesn't have any destructive habits like chewing, barking or digging, and she walks nicely on a leash. Elsa is very devoted and will follow you from room to room, but isn't clingy. Elsa was previously living with children. We had Elsa spayed, fully vaccinated including rabies and microchipped. We're only adopting out to the Southern California area. Adoption donation $250

Story
Hi there. Nice to meet you, I’m Allie. The people here aren’t really sure what breed I am, but they’re guessing some sort of shiba inu/lab mix! I think I’m a mix of lots of things which adds to my uniqueness and makes me extra special. I was found roaming the streets in very poor condition, but thanks to the TLC I’m getting from my foster family, I’m doing so much better! The shelter listed me as 14 years old, but Wags vets think I’m closer to 10. Since being rescued I have gained a few pounds and I am a healthy weight of approximately 35-40 pounds.  I’m living harmoniously with two small dog foster siblings and I love to meet new people. I love to go for long walks or just hang at home and relax. I’m leash trained and crate trained and am just the sweetest girl you’ll ever meet. I’m now healthy, up to date on vaccinations, spayed and microchipped. If you are interested in adoption, please submit an adoption application: http://www.wagsandwalks.org/adoption-application

Story
THIS IS A COURTESY POSTING ONLY. IF INTERESTED IN SPARKY, PLEASE SEE CONTACT INFORMATION BELOW. We rescued Sparky from a horrible situation. We took Sparky to the vet and he has had all his vaccinations and has been neutered. Sparky is a wonderful young dog that really deserves a chance to live! He is in a foster home now under the Dexter Foundation. We are looking for the right person for a forever home! He needs an adult home where he can feel safe and be loved. Being handicap, he does take some extra attention. I have been fostering Sparky for several months now and I can say I’ve seen him turn into a wonderful dog again. He loves his bones and enjoys his walks. I think he would be a great fit to someone that wants to love and take care of this little guy. We have raised enough for Sparky’s wheelie, booties, toys and diapers. Sparky took to the wheelie right away! He's able to go for a walk again! Sparky's forever home should be someone that is willing to work with him or keep him safe at home. Sparky weighs about 23lbs and is about 1 to 3 years old we think. We think he is a Shaba Inu, Basenji, Puggle and shepherd mix. Maybe even a Corgi mix. He is a bit stand offish at first but will warm up to you as he has with me. He is currently getting along with some dogs but some smaller aggressive dogs he does not. I think it was because of his handicap and the small dogs he’s being fostered around were aggressive. Sparky is located Torrance Ca. Thank you so much! Contact Donnie 310-292-1526 Text ok Email: r6donnie@sbcglobal.net

Story
Luna is 1 year 5 months, black and white Shiba Inu, we feel she might be mixed with some other breed, not entirely sure. She has a long backstory so if anyone or any institution is interested please contact me personally so that i may give you more information. I will say whoever is interested in taking her in, i would suggest someone who is highly skilled in training or has experience with behavioral training. I am doing this to save Luna from possibly having to go to a shelter. We desperately need help. We can no longer keep her because our land lady does not want her in our house anymore due to several bite incidents. Serious inquires only please.

Story
Ellie was abandoned at a vets office at 9 weeks old. We took her in to keep her from going to the shelter. My daughter tried to make her a part of their home but that did not work, they have a cat that Ellie wasn’t fond of. Ellie is extremely smart, picks up commands and training beautifully. Ellie is a very sweet girl. But, Ellie has a lot of resource guarding of certain toys, chewies and treats. She can food as well. She has an aggressive streak She has been in professional training for 3 months and she’s doing very well. But she needs more. She is 6 months old and loves to play, should not be with young children or anyone that may harm her if she snaps at them. Needs a family that will work with her and be cautious of her temperament. She does play with dogs at daycare but they are dogs who kinda put her in her place w/out starting a fight. If you have old or submissive dogs that won’t work. She’s too pushy when playing. She just needs love and training and a safe home
