Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Dizzy is a 12 year old shih tzu/poodle mix who was saved from a shelter in Missouri. She is very low key and independent. Her favorite spot is a comfy bed to nap on. Being an older girl, she needs more frequent potty breaks or she will have accidents in the house. She does fine with her foster dog siblings but is totally fine with being the only one. Dizzy hasn't been cat tested but as long as they are respectful of her, they should do fine.  Dizzy can be picky about who pays attention to her so a quiet home without a lot of visitors or children is best for her. If she doesn't want attention, she will offer a growl to let you know she doesn't want to interact. Once she knows her family, she will ask for attention and enjoys being pet.  Dizzy moves pretty slowly so walks are not necessary. She will require a home without stairs (inside and outside) as they are too difficult for her. She does not like to be picked up unless it's to get in the car to go for a ride. She has food allergies but we have found dry and canned food and treats that she does great on. Other than that, she's a healthy girl. Dizzy's adoption fee is $200 and includes her spay, microchip and current vaccinations. Last Hope's adoption process includes contacting references, vet(s), and landlord (if applicable), as well as a home visit. Last Hope requires all dogs are to be kept indoors and on heartworm  preventatives year round.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.
