this is a courtesy post. BDRA does not have this dog in one of their foster homes. If you are interested in this dog, contact Blind Dog Rescue Alliance's web page under adoption. I have had Lucas for a couple of months. He is 9 years old and completely blind. It doesn’t stop him from being the sweetest dog. He weighs about 10 lbs and is a Shih Tzu mix (probably with poodle).He’s potty trained and is allowed to run free in my home while I’m at work with no issues. He likes to play with one of my other Tzus, likes to go for car rides and play outside. He loves to be with his human and would really like to go in a home with someone that is home most of the time. No kids under 15 and no in ground swimming pools. Probably would not sue well with someone elderly because he can be a trip hazard.

Otis is a 9 year old neutered male Shih Tzu who weighs 18 pounds. He was rescued from a bad situation where he was not treated very well, but he is safe now and that is all that matters. Otis seems to have been through a lot in his lifetime and will need a family that is willing to let him warm up at his pace and show him love. ***Please note that Otis does have a grade 4/6 heart murmur, but he is not requiring any medication at this time*** Otis is working on both potty training and walking on a leash, but he is already picking it up and seems to catch onto things very quickly. He does very well around other dogs and we would like his forever home to have at least one other dog to show him the ropes.
