Lawrenceville, GA Available for adoption. Male Shih Tzu, Name: Eddie, 3 years old This little guy is such a sweet heart. He had a hard life in in the streets with no home and nobody to love him. He was impounded as a stray at animal control in a high kill shelter in rural Georgia. He was scared and seemed standoffish at first and that was most likely the reason why everybody passed him by. In just weeks Eddie came such a long way and loves to feel a loving touch. He will close his eyes and enjoys to be loved on. He still crawls on the floor army style when he is unsure of his environment, but once he comes out of his shell you can't get enough kisses. He is absolutely fantastic with other dogs, no matter what size or gender. He needs a low traffic home with no small children. A mellow household where he can learn how it is to live in a real home with another playful doggy companion. He finds comfort in following another dogs lead which will help him to learn and we are looking for a home with another playful young dog ONLY. He barely barks and rides great as co pilot in the car next to you. He is craving love and a gentle touch. Eddie is approximately 3 years old and weighs 14 lbs. If you are interested in Eddie, please send us a message in order to receive an application. We are only meeting with pre approved applicants since we do not have a shelter available to the public. Eddie's adoption fee is $ 350 which includes all vaccines, heartworm test, neuter and micro chip. Our adoption fees are NOT negotiable.

Please contact Jessie (fivefreedomsfarm@gmail.com) for more information about this pet.Meet adorable 6-7 yr old, 14 lb Ren! This little one-eyed boy is as docile and quiet as they come. He was quite neglected and had to have his left eye removed, plus we've treated skin and ear infections. He does have dry eye disease in his remaining eye, which just means he can't produce enough tears naturally, so he needs Cyclosporine drops twice a day. He is blind in that eye but navigates life just fine! He is otherwise in decent health.  Ren gets along with dogs of all sizes and with cats. He loves to be held! He is very low energy and just a chill kind of boy. If you are looking for an easy, affectionate little companion, Ren could be your boy!     Rosie Rose is 10 years old and weighs 6 lbs.  She came to the shelter severely matted with horrible dental disease.  The shelter groomed her and found a sweet little blind poodle mix underneath.  Rosie has mature cataracts and isn’t a great candidate for surgery at her age.  AAU has taken care of her teeth and she has a grand total of 7 left but that doesn’t interfere with her eating.  She does have an eye condition related to the cataracts that requires eyedrops twice a day.  The drops will likely be lifelong but she takes them like a champ. Rosie is housetrained on a schedule but will also use puppy pads.  She is crate trained but prefers to sit with her human.  She ignores other dogs unless they linger in her face so would be fine with or without other doggie companions. Hello! Joy is the absolute sweetest pooch you have ever met. Her favorite place to be is on your lap. She is 4.5 years old, energetic and always ready for a game of hide and seek or toss the ball. We've had Joy since she was 8 weeks old and did not know at the time that our youngest son, who has environmental allergies would have a challenge with the pet dander. The agressive cleaning and keeping them separated has become a bit overwhelming and so now we find ourselves in search of a perfect home for Joy. She would NOT do well in a home with other pets (cats and dogs). She doesn't like going to her grooming appointments because of all the barking and is quite timid around other dogs on her walks, barks like crazy after they pass. She loves absolutely everyone and does extremely well with kids. She is house trained on schedule, a bit spoiled as she won't bark to go outside. We are enjoying our time with her until she finds a that family that will give her lots of love and cuddles.
