Story
This is Boo... This old man spent his life as a breeder dog and is finally enjoying the good life. He’s around 10-12 years old and 15 lbs. Boo is a total sweetheart but is a little timid in new situations. He’s an older guy and prefers a calmer household. He does have some dry eye which is common for his breed. He gets artificial tears just like a human would get and that has helped tremendously. He does have vision loss but gets around well. We do think a laid back household without small children would be best since he hasn’t grown up around them and is a little timid with fast movements and stressful situations. He does well with other dogs but does prefer his own space and isn’t really a player. He prefers to lounge around with his people and be a couch potato. He also doesn’t mind cats. He does great in the house and kennel although he prefers not to be kenneled. He doesn’t mind a leash or the car. He’s utd, hw neg(tested below detectable levels) and is neutered. All dogs have a $150 adoption fee which includes vet check, age appropriate shots (atleast 2 sets for puppies), dewormer, heartworm test (if over 6 months), rabies (if atleast 16 weeks) and spay/neuter! Puppies/Dogs that are not available for adoption due to vetting not being complete can be reserved with an approved application and a non refundable $50 deposit. This deposit is applied to your adoption fee and the remaining $100 is due at pick up. Wags and Whiskers is an all-volunteer rescue. We also have full-time jobs and Families. We will try to answer all questions and applications in a timely manner. Please be patient and bear with us . Do not contact Parkway Animal Hospital as they are a vet clinic and can not answer questions on behalf of Wags and Whiskers. All questions and comments must go directly through the rescue. Here is a few words from his previous owner. “ Smokie is a gentle, sweet and oves to be petted. He loves to play fetch but has trouble giving the toy back to be thrown again. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Magoo is a 9 year old neutered male.  Up to date on all vaccines along with proheart 12 ,cytopoint injection for his itchy skin. Which he seems to be responding well too and heartworm negative.  He does have difficulty seeing and has dry eye and is on 2 medications at the moment. The poor man also has a very bad left knee but seems to be controlled with an Anti-inflammatory.  He just had he teeth cleaned and has a new  Sparkly white smile to go with his amazing personality.   Besides his medical issues he is a loving, snuggly very funny little man.  He gets all with dogs of all sizes but his favorite friends and cats!  He is Obsessed with cats and wants to be their best friend he even wants to snuggle up with them. www.tireddogrescue.com to apply for adoption.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.
