Story
Riley is a 8 month old Shih Tzu/Yorkie mix surrendered through no fault of his own.Riley is a sweet affectionate boy who loves to play with other doggies. He loves all toys and chewing on his bone. Riley is very high energy and needs lots of play time in and outside. He loves walks and he walks well on a leash. Riley is still working on potty training but getting much better. He needs a consistent potty schedule. He is still having a few accidents when we aren’t paying attention or don’t take him out consistently. He loves to cuddle and be with his people all the time. He looks to us for lots or reassurance and affection. He wants to by our side at every minute! Riley can sit on command and be is working on down, stay and lay down. Riley is going into his kennel by himself with treats and toys plus he sleeps through the night in his kennel. He is a great dog and will make a great best friend. The suggested adoption donation for Riley is a minimum of $400 and goes toward the high cost of veterinary care for our rescue dogs.Wag N Train Terrier Rescue adopts to an extended geographical area as long as we can locate a local volunteer to perform the required home visit. Approved adopters are required to travel to Omaha, NE to pick up their newly adopted dog. We do not arrange transport, or fly our rescue dogs without a "pet nanny". A securely fenced yard is necessary to adopt one of our terriers. Please note, invisible or underground fencing is not considered secure or appropriate containment for terriers.Adoption applications can be found at www.wagntrainterrierrescue.com/adoption-information

Story
Wrigley is a very special little guy. He came to Dolly's Legacy after being found as a stray in a Nebraska town and no one claimed him. We cannot imagine anyone abandoning him & how scared he must have been all alone. We got him to the vet & found that he has a number of health issues & he was in dire need of care. Sadly, he has leukemia. His white count was higher than our vet had seen in his entire career. He also has kidney disease, is hypothryoid, has no tear production causing dry eye, and has severe dental disease. He is on a wide range of medications to help the infection in his mouth, get his white count lowered, his kidneys stabilized, his eyes lubricated, and his thyroid levels back to normal. Despite all of this, he is such a happy boy who loves to snuggle & eat. Nap time of course is his favorite. He loves to curl up into a warm bed surrounded by his blankies. He is getting tons of cuddles & the best care in his foster home. We hope that Wrigley can find a home that falls in love with him just as he is & will love him unconditionally for the rest of his time, no matter how long that will be. We are doing everything we can to get him as healthy as possible & feeling better. He is a real trooper through it all! Wrigley is an 8 yr old ShihTzu who weighs 11 lbs.
