Cricket is a tiny, 11lb, cream and gold 8 yr old Shih Tzu. If you enjoy the spunky, stubborn typical personality of a Shih Tzu, you will love little this little girl. She’s a bit timid when first meeting people but warmed up quickly in her foster home and has become a lap dog who loves affection. She also walks well on a leash. This little girl was found as a stray with another dog and was taken to an animal shelter. When we rescued her, she had an old eye injury and horribly diseased teeth. When she was spayed, we had her injured eye removed and all but 5 teeth removed. Even though we know she was in pain before her surgeries, she was still happy and loving. If you are interested in adopting this dog, contact h2hadoptions@gmail.com. An all adult home with a fenced yard (fence must be attached to the home) is required to adopt from Hart-2-Heart Rescue. There is an application process and adoption fee. We are an all-volunteer organization, and in addition to saving dogs, we have other responsibilities, so we appreciate your patience and understanding during this process. Response time can take up to 5 business days. Please inquire only if you are willing to come to Greensboro, North Carolina to meet the dog after we schedule your home visit. We do not ship dogs or put them on transports. Adoption fee is $400. Veterinary Care: All Hart-2-Heart Rescue foster dogs are spayed/neutered, current on heartworm prevention, parvo/distemper, bordetella, and rabies vaccines and are professionally groomed. As needed, our foster dogs have teeth cleanings, extractions, bloodwork and other diagnostic testing.

Ollie is a 4yr old, 16lb, male Shih Tzu/Maltese mix. This adorable little boy is shy at first, but really likes people and prefers to be around them most of the time. He gets along great with other dogs and just discovered toys! He’s learning how to walk on a leash and is doing super. He would do best in a home where his person isn’t gone most of the day. Ollie is quick and will dart for an open door, so his adoptive home will have to be able to manage doorways. If you are looking for a sweet, loving little guy who wants nothing more than to cuddle up with you, Ollie is the dog for you.
