He is dog friendly and would do best in a quiet home where he can spend the rest of his golden years. Trey has arthritis in both of his back legs and has to be carried very carefully. He has some medicine to help him manage his arthritis pain. He’s a funny boy who loves to follow his human around the house he is potty trained and sleeps in his doggy bed at night. His hobbies include sleeping,eating, and giving kisses. Trey would do best in a home with older kids or kids that respect his space. He's lookinf for a calm house where he can relax with family who love him! He is a precious boy of 8 years young, who is a little shy but extremely loyal. Charlie is loving and craves attention, and would do well with a dog or human playmate to exercise him. We believe he is a ShihTzu + Jack Russell mix! If you're interested in him, please read up on both breeds behavior and personality traits. We believe he's a good balanced mix because he's not hyper like a typical terrier, but he does point and loves to sniff and explore the yard. Charlie has some funny habits, such as being very vocal, a bit jealous, and can be timid at times. However, he is extremely well behaved, loves snuggling, potty trained, kennel trained, and only makes noise to alert you. I am still looking for my forever home. I have been in my foster home now for a while and I’m even better now than when I first came here. I am 9 years old and completely blind. Don’t let that scare you. I am just like any other dog. I like to play and follow you around and I love attention, just like any other dog. Being blind doesn’t slow me down. There are a few things to think about when you care for a blind dog but really life with me is pretty easy. I am potty trained and can be left by myself when you leave. However, I do much better with another dog in the house when I am left alone. So, I am looking for a home with another dog and if not another dog than a parent  that is home most of the time. I do well on car rides. I will love to follow you around and sitting in your lap. I am a real lover boy. Because I am blind I would not be good for an elderly person as I can be a trip hazard. Also I can’t go in a home with a swimming pool or small children. My foster parents think I am the greatest foster EVER! Please come by and see me in person. Come out to meet our fabulous rescued Shih Tzu, Lhasas, and more.  Check our website: www.savethetzus.com  for directions/times of our next Tzu Review/Adoption event at a local PetSmart.This little boy just wants to be loved.  He’s around two years old, is very smart, walks well on a leash, is basically house broken, and can be kenneled if he’s home alone, but prefers to be out with his people if you are home.  He will do quite well when encountering other dogs in public, but he needs to be the only dog in his home.  He’s not fond of other fur babies invading his space, and he can be food aggressive.  He also growls on occasion, but most of the time, other dogs cause this—and the rest of the time, he’s “talking.”  He needs an experienced dog person to know the difference and to love him in spite of his quirks.  Also, because of these quirks, he needs a home with no children.  Are you the perfect person/ couple for this little boy who wants and needs to be loved…on his own terms?  He really is a sweetie, if you give him a chance. I am sweet, loyal and loving to all humans. I love belly rubs, walks, and naps with my foster dad. I'm a 6-7 year old special needs dog. I had a very tough time before DFW Tzu's took me in. My right eye was badly damaged and had to be removed but I am sighted in my left eye and can get around just fine. I can see darkness and light and shadows. I have no problems getting around but I have to have over the counter Systane to keep my left eye moist so I can continue to see. Also I have to take medication twice a day to prevent very mild seizures. Nothing dramatic. My foster dad can fill you in if you want to meet me and I hope you do! I prefer to be an alone dog but get along well with a calm female companion pup. I need someone at home most of the day but I'm ok if your gone for a few hours. I'm well house trained and if you let me outside regularly I won't make mistakes. I'm also trained on potty pads! I can't be baby gated in a  room alone or crated, I panic. If house loose I won't make a mess, chew or damage anything. I just like to be a couch potato and will sleep a lot. I am curious about children but really don't like to be around them. I get scared. If you have had dogs with sight issues and want a funny handsome new family member I could be the one! Chauncey is sweet mellow chin. He spends most of his days napping. He isn’t a big cuddler but he does have his moments. Because he is a little older, he sometimes gets a little grumpy if he’s not ready to get up when you are! So he may not be best in homes with small kids. He does not like crates but is fully potty trained and will sleep in your room at night. He’s usually on the floor but will jump up and sleep at the foot of the bed. He enjoys playing with toys and car rides. True to chin behavior, he likes to climb and be in high places.
