Farah is a senior cat looking for a quiet place to spend the rest of her days. Farah is a shy girl who tends to hide a bit when introduced to a new environment, and this will typically last a few days. A nice quiet room where she can hide during that time would be ideal. She likes to be in high places to feel safe and seemed to find comfort hiding on the top of our utility shelf. Farah's adopter will need to be understanding that she needs time to adjust to her new home and be patient. She will eventually feel more secure and venture out to explore her surroundings when she's ready. She's not super fond of other cats, so an ideal home might be where she is the only cat. Otherwise, a cat adopted together with her, or a resident cat in the home that is on the docile side might be ok too. Since she is part Siamese, she seems to be a little chatty (which is typical of the breed). It's possible this may change over time as she may just be looking for reassurance during her adjustment period to her new home. Once she becomes comfortable in her new environment, she will seek you out for pets and attention! A variety of scratching surfaces might be ideal to put out at first to figure out what she prefers. She enjoys eating canned food along with dry food, so I usually offered both to her. With all this said, Farah's ideal adopter should be an experienced cat person, and not a first time cat owner for optimal success. Farah is in foster care. Due to the CO19 virus sheltering in place order, Eldridge and Johnny's foster parents do not feel comfortable have a meet and greet in theri home. Therefore these cats are not available at this time. Please check back with us May 1st. Thank you! Cats do the most curious things. We can only look on and wonder what’s going through their minds and hearts. Eldridge, for example, enjoys rolling off the couch! It happens like this: Eldridge will get onto your lap, demand some affection, accept pets and belly rubs, and then make a few chirpy kitty sounds. Sometimes he’ll even rest his head in your hand when you’re petting him. Then comes the baffling part: Eldridge will maneuver to the edge of the couch. Then he does a big stretch and slowly slides off … until he ends up on the ground. It’s super-cute to watch! Come and see for yourself. Eldridge was born late May, 2019. Adopt Puff (and CiCi, second cat) from Tree house pets over 5 years ago. He does need attention, can be very vocal, playful, and super friendly. He's has a lot of dog mannerisms (including walking vid below). We've had some great time so this breaks my heart. With a baby here, it's been pretty difficult for the cats. Hoping to find the cats a great home.
