Story
Meet Toast!Toast is a beautiful Siamese mix. This sweet girl will be your greeting committee at the door every day when you come home! She loves to chat and have long conversations with anyone who will listen. Unfortunately, this sweet 4-year-old girl was previously adopted from us and is now back in our program again, due to no fault of her own. She has had some over grooming issues in the past due to stress, but she is currently healing up well in her foster home.Toast is an affectionate kitty who loves to play. Her favorite toys are strings on wand toys and the occasional cap nip. She would do best in a one or two cat household, and Toast is definitely ready to look for love again!*Our cats are looking for indoor only homes.*All cats are spayed/neutered, current on age-appropriate vaccinations, tested negative for FIV/FELV, microchipped, dewormed, and current on flea/tick prevention. The adoption fee is $50. If you're interested in adopting, please complete our Adoption Application on our website at www.allpawsrescueok.org

Story
Joey was adopted as a kitten in 2016 as a companion for a young boy. When the boy moved to the east coast for school, Joey's mom didn't feel like she could give him the attention he needed and returned him to PAWS. He was a very shy little guy as a kitten and hasn't changed a whole lot in the last 2 years. He needs a very quiet home and an owner with a big lap! He is a very large boy and is very sweet once he has had some time to adjust to his new environment. He was an only pet in his first home but may adjust to other well behaved pets if introduced properly.

Story
Nora is a two year old lap cat who wants nothing more than someone to take her in and hold her all day long! She was running loose with 4 kittens when she came to the attention of PAWS-OK in September 2019. She is quiet and loving and needs to be in a home where she is an only cat. This cat has tested positive for the Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV). FIV is a lentivirus, meaning that it progresses very slowly, gradually affecting a cat's immune system. It is passed most commonly through serious, penetrating bite wounds - mainly by stray, intact tom cats. The most well-known lentivirus in humans is HIV, but the two are not at all the same, and neither you nor your canine companions can get FIV from a cat. As long as cats with FIV are fed a balanced, non-raw diet, see the vet regularly (2x per year for checkups), are kept in a stress free environment and are not exposed to diseases that their immune system can't handle, they can live perfectly normal lives. Read more about living with an FIV+ cat at: (copy into your browser) http://veterinaryteam.dvm360.com/loving-and-living-with-cat-with-fiv For these reasons, PAWS recommends that this cat be an only cat in its new home and that it not be allowed outside where it may come in contact with other cats. We microchip all our FIV+ cats to identify and protect them if they do get out and are picked up by a concerned citizen or animal welfare agency. Some vets and most shelters are not up-to-date on the recent findings concerning FIV and routinely euthanize all cats that test positive for the virus (and sometimes all cats that come in contact with FIV+ cats). However if a microchip is detected they are obligated to contact the owner before taking any irreversible steps. A microchip could save this cats life.

Story
He is considered a Flame Point Siamese and has beautiful blue eyes. He's fairly large at approximately 15 lbs. He is relatively shy at first and hides a lot. If he is startled or gets overly excited, he tends to nip a bit too hard, especially if he isn't familiar with you yet. Once he warms up to know you, which he does very fast, he is extremely affectionate and will smother you with rubs and kisses. Basically he adores people. He enjoys spending time in your lap but also likes his alone time. His brushing needs to be maintained. He absolutely adores the laser light and will chase it until he practically collapses! He talks a lot and chatters. We have three other short hair cats and he really hasn't hissed at them at all. He ignores all of their hisses. He is a wonderful cat but my family's allergies have kicked into overdrive after his arrival, the long hair is just too much for us and due to other circumstances, his previous owner is unable to take him back.

Story
Mocha has been our beloved family cat for 9 years, but he cannot get along with our Labrador. He is unhappy with the situation and we have to keep them separated in our small townhouse. It breaks our hearts but we have to Reno every him. He’s very affectionate to people and other cats but will not coexist with dogs. Please consider giving him a good home!
