Please contact Jo Ellen (hwbdogrescue@aol.com) for more information about this pet. Please apply online at http://texasgreatdane.org/adoption-application/ ** This dog is in a foster home in San Antonio, TX. Prospective adopters must be able to travel to San Antonio to complete the adoption process. ** Chico is a 2-year-old Jack Russell Terrier blend who weighs approximately 14 pounds.Chico is happy boy who gets along well with his foster siblings. He absolutely loves human companionship. He knows how to use a dog door in his foster home and is housebroken. This handsome boy was suffering from extreme neglect and dehydration when he was abandoned by a heartless owner who allowed him to roam the streets scrounging for food. Because Chico was desperate both for human companionship and food, he did learn to scale fences to escape from his neglect. So he will need a secure environment and should never be left unattended while outside. After receiving veterinarian care and a quality diet, Chico is now a healthy and happy boy. Chico is heartworm negative. Please understand you are committing to providing a good home for his entire life (up to 15+ years or more.) You must be committed to housebreaking, age-appropiate enrichment and exercise, leash training, grooming needs, and positive socialization. His adoption fee is $175. This includes his neuter surgery, DhPPv vaccination, rabies vaccination, heart worm test, deworming, heartworm prevention, microchip, leash and collar, and 30-days of pet health insurance. Please be aware that puppies and small breed do get adopted quickly so interested parties are encouraged to apply online at www.texasgreatdane.org.Our adoption events are held each Saturdayat Petco located in the Northwoods Shopping Center at 18138 San Pedro Ave, San Antonio TX 78232.
