Story
Handsome Brody is searching for that one-in-a-million person. He came to us as a badly injured stray in early August. Normally skittish, Brody walked up to his rescuer and asked for help the only way that he could.  He had a microchip and his family decided to surrender rather than treat him. Brody had suffered a degloving injury to his tail, which was necrotic and infested with fly larvae. After emergency surgery to amputate his tail, steroids, antibiotics, and a blood transfusion, Brody felt much better. He loves to eat and put on a couple of much needed pounds very quickly. He blossomed into a lovable, friendly guy who enjoys attention and stole the hearts of the clinic staff. Unfortunately, he was left with nerve damage and is unable to urinate on his own. So far, all of our veterinary efforts haven't helped this. His bladder needs to be expressed, which isn't difficult, but will require someone devoted to his care who can maintain a schedule. We would love to see Brody get another chance in life. If you'd like more information, please send us an email!  Thank you for your interest in adopting from HMF.  All of our pets are spayed/neutered, current on vaccinations, microchipped and otherwise healthy, unless noted in the description.  Our adoption area is within 50 miles of Franklin/Bargersville, IN. We hold a monthly adoption event on the last Saturday of each month from 12:00 noon until 3:00 p.m. at the new Center Grove Pet Valu store. 5885 N St Rd 135 Bargersville IN Direct questions to:  general@hopemariesfund.org
