Story
We need to rehome our dogs Nala and Oliver. Nala is a 5 year old smaller Saint Bernard (95 pounds). I always joke that she is a "mini Bernard," even though she is still large. She is the runt of her litter and her parents were rather small to begin with. She is a total lover, snuggler and lap dog. She is a family dog. She loves playing outside and chasing squirrels. She needs a big yard for this. Oliver is 7 and a loyal boy. He is a mixed breed; we know he has chinese Shar pei in him, and believe some sort of lab/Shepard mix (Would be fun to do a DNA test). Oliver is a loyal, sweet and kind boy. He can be shy at first but once he opens up to you he is the sweetest and most caring dog. He is very loyal. We hate to give up our dogs, but we have to at this point. We have had them together since they were puppies and they are bonded and attached to one a other. Please consider taking them both before applying. We are looking for a loving, active family with a large yard and no other dogs.

Story
Lucy is a 6 year old Saint Bernard. I have had her since she was a puppy, but due to certain circumstances, I'm not able to keep her any longer. Unfortunately she is not allowed in the house during the day (not my rules), so she is in the backyard with our other dog until they are allowed to come in, so she has been escaping our backyard almost every single day. I take her on walks, out for drives, have tons of toys for her to play with, and bones to chew, but nothing is stimulating enough for her. It's not fair for her to have to be outside all day, and I cannot keep leaving work to go catch her when she breaks the fence and escapes. This is my last resort, as I love her to death, but the stress and paranoia of having her outside is too much and it's not fair for myself and definitely not for Lucy. Other than the fact that she likes to escape, she really is a good dog. She's very sweet and just wants all the attention. She absolutely loves the water, and going on car rides.

Courtesy Post - DOG LOCATED IN SACRAMENTO/SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, CA area. This is one-in-a-million Max, a 4 ½ year old, smaller male Saint Bernard, who is a laid-back, love-muffin! He is an alumnus of Adopt A Saint, adopted a few years ago to a family that has had some changes to their home that make it hard on Max, so they are seeking a better situation for their best buddy. Max has an easygoing temperament, social with dogs and strangers, but no experience with cats. He is UTD on shots, walks well on leash, prefers to eat lying down, gets excited about car rides, house-trained and lives as an inside dog with access to a yard. Max is a crazy good cuddler and gentle with children of all ages. He loves to wrestle with other dogs and would enjoy a companion, which might help him not jump fences! Max has climbed a chain link fence to go explore the neighborhood on his own, so “no climb” fencing is a requirement! Max is located between Sacramento and South Lake Tahoe, so potential adopters must be willing to drive to his location to meet him. If you have been looking for a cuddle-bunny baby nanny, you found him! Please fill out an application for this sweet, gentle boy at adoptasaint.org.

Story
So a friend of mine abandoned her dog in my house and I'm unable to take care of a big dog although I am looking for my own dog, we just dont have the space for her. It breaks my heart to be even posting this but I feel it’s in her best interest to give them to a new home who can make time for her and give her the attention they deserve. Mercy is a Anatolian Shepherd mixed with Great Pyrenees and she is 5 years and 3 months and she is spayed. Mercy is a little bit of a dork. She loves to cuddle and will cuddle with you all night long if you let her. She loves to get out and play but will also lay down and have a lazy day. She is not good with younger children because she was attacked my a child when she was a puppy so she gets very scared of them. She also is skittish around new people and takes a bit of time to warm up but treats and love will help with that. She is crate trained. Thank you.

Story
Will be 8 years old in February 2020. Adopted in 2017 after being surrendered by previous owner. Bonded quickly to her owner. Was overweight upon adoption, but has lost good amount of weight with diet restriction and increased exercise. Is reactive to other dogs and cats; rabbits, birds, squirrels, etc. do not seem to bother her at all. She is quite sweet and a little needy, may exhibit signs of separation anxiety that subside over time. She has lived with another dog (submissive puppy) in the past, but continued displaying signs of anxiety if puppy was present. Knows basic commands and can walk nicely on a leash, but may pull a bit from time to time. Doesn't like too many toys, but will chase a tennis ball and will chew on flavored chew toys. She would do well in a home with a private yard with someone who is home often to keep her company. Is not too active; mostly lies around and sleeps but may be due to housing situation (apartment).
