Story
Aspen Arriving in CO today and then will come to Nebraska 4 years oldSaint Bernard Dog friendly Cats unknownGood with childrenHouse trainedKnows commandsUp to date on vaccines but still needs spayed 120lbs approx  Aspen was bought as a pup and for years lived as a beloved family member, until her owner had surgery. After her owner returned from surgery Aspen ended up chained outside. Apparently she kept tripping and pushing the owner over. We couldn't stand to see her outside chained to a dog house and so we agreed to take her. She is dog friendly l, was house trained before she ended up chained outside, good with children and adults. She's a super sweet and just a doll.  $200.00 Adoption Fee  (Which is considered a non refundable donation and being we are a 501c3 organization it is tax deductible. The fee itself is not negotiable, our vets don't negotiate and thus neither do we.) WE DO NOT HAVE A FACILITY ALL OUR DOGS ARE LOCATED IN FOSTER HOMES. This means there is no place for you to go in person to view our dogs. We ask that an application be filled out and we will go from there! Story
Herschell Located in Dalton NE12 months oldSaint BernardGood with other dogs BUT would be best in a home without large dominant dogs Not sure about cats, he met some in passing and was fine but when he met him be in a home he wasn't a fanGood with kids House trainedKnows commands, does NOT kennel, don't even try it hahaha  Clumsy and just a giant gooberHe is a LOT of dog make sure you are able to handle himVery emotional, will need positive reinforcement training over force Fully vetted 125lbs and needs to gain more weight ONLY available to adopters with previous SAINT BERNARD experience  Herschell was owner surrendered from a young man who could no longer care for him. When we got him he was extremely emaciated and we were worried about his organ functions. However in just a couple days his urine seemed to normalize and over the past couple months he's gained almost 30lbs! Herschell has been fostered by our president and thus he has met an absolute TON of dogs. He was also adopted for 24 hours and then returned because he didn't do well with their male dog, whether that was Herschell or their dog we will never know. Since this 24 blunder Herschell is very punchy around large male dogs. We do not believe that this is an issue that he will have forever, however until he builds his confidence back up we believe he will do best in a home without large male dogs. Herschell is a true gentle giant who is so beyond deserving of a fantastic home and loving family to call his own! We will obviously be picky where Herschell goes especially since he already has had 1 return. If you believe that Herschell would be a perfect fit for your home and family please contact us! Story
Jackson   Located in Brighton CO headed back to Sidney NE  4 years old Saint Bernard Good with dogs  Good with kids Cats unknown House trained Not destructive so he doesn't need a crate and he knows commands Fully vetted  180lbs   Jackson was an owner surrender to HPPAW in 2017. He went to a foster where he was quickly foster failed (meaning his foster adopted him). Over the past couple years Jackson has been his owners whole world. When he had an unfortunate employment turn we worked with the owner so he could keep Jackson, his owner adores him. Recently his living situation has become impossible and he finds himself having to move with just a couple days time. This is extremely hard with an XL dog as Saint Bernards are on most apartments prohibited dogs list. The decision was made to surrender Jackson back to the rescue. Jackson is an amazing dog who does great with dogs as long as they have a proper introduction. He adores humans, adults and kids alike. He is a fantastic couch potato and companion. He's so charismatic and charming it's impossible it to fall head over heals for him. ##180739##
