Story
Chicken will be a very large adult, best guess over 80 pounds full grown. She does have a mixed coat that is high maintenance and prone to matting and shedding. So if a longer "doodle" cut or "non-shedding" is important to you, this is not the dog for you. I encourage you to look at the standard poodles we have for adoption, they are among the lower shedding dogs of all the coated breeds. Beyond her coat Chicken is a wonderful dog who is highly social, loves other dogs, and is extremely active. She has a high exercise requirement, as she is a mix of 2 high-drive working breeds. She is a very smart pup, and is a quick learner, as long as she has had some of her energy drained. Chicken has been spayed, vaccinated, chipped and is ready for a loving home today, her adoption fee is $450 All adult dogs fo on a 2 week trial adoption period to make sure they are a good fit in your home, your adoption fee is fully refundable during that period. We will take all adopted pets back into our program for the life of our pet, with a scheduled appointment. All dogs are spayed or neutered, microchipped, Heartworm tested, and current on vaccinations and preventions prior to adoption. You can find our adoption applications here: www.midwestanimalresq.org Our shelter is located at 10312 East 63rd Street in Raytown, MO. We are open to meet pets Tuesday through Friday from 10-6, and on Saturday and Sunday from 10-5. We are closed on Mondays.

Story
Heidi was rescued from a breeding facility, and came to us weighing in at only 31 pounds! It has been a slow road to recovery for this special girl, as sometimes the scars of abuse are not just physical. She is learning how to "dog" in a skilled behavioral foster home, where she is slowly gaining weight...and confidence!
