Hi there! I’m Tobias — a 1.5-year-old standard poodle with lots of energy, a silly streak, and a big heart that’s still learning how to be brave. I love toys (especially the squeaky ones!) and playing chase with my awesome foster sister. She’s been teaching me all about being a happy, confident dog — and I think I’m getting the hang of it!
I might come off as a little shy at first. Meeting new humans is kind of scary, but oh boy, do I want to be part of the fun! If you’re patient with me, I’ll start to come closer, let you give me gentle pets, maybe even a belly rub. I’m what they call “cautiously optimistic.” Affection sounds pretty great… I’m just still figuring it all out.
I’d really love to live in a home with another dog — it helps me feel safe and I learn best by watching my furry friends. I’m totally potty trained (yep, zero accidents!), though I might pee a tiny bit if something startles me, like the harness or that weird thing called “bath time.” I promise I’m working on it.
At night, I snooze in my kennel and sleep through till morning. During the day, my kennel door stays open so I can go in if I need a break — it’s my cozy little safe space. I eat like a champ, and treats? Oh yes, please. I’ll do almost anything for a good treat!
I’m also really good in the car, especially when I’m safely buckled in. Riding around is actually kind of fun! Walks are a bit tricky for me right now — the leash feels weird, and I get a little spinny — but I’m learning. For now, I love playing in the fenced backyard and zooming around with my foster sister.
Even though I’m not quite ready for nonstop cuddles, I always want to be near my people and dog pals. I know with the right family — one that gives me time, love, and patience — I’ll become the best companion ever. Are you my family? Let's meet and find out!
