Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. All of our dogs and cats are in foster homes and we have no paid staff.  If you have questions concerning a specific animal,  PLEASE fill out an application and the foster parent will be in touch.  We will not arrange any home visits with any of our dogs and cats until your application is processed.  Please understand our foster parents are precious to our 2nd Chance family; without them we cannot function, so we do our best to not burden them with multiple appointments.  Our foster parents will choose their top 3 applications and arrange home visits with these applicants.  The adopter will be chosen at that time.  The process can take anywhere from a week to a month.  We want to make sure our little furry ones are placed in their "forever home" and never have to go through a rehoming again!   Hellow my name is Juno and I was found wandering all by myself :(   It was really scary!  No one is sure why I was alone and unfortunately I do not speak 'human' so I can't tell them.  The shelter people loved me and they were very nice but I got this yucky thing called kennel cough while I was there and I didn't like it AT ALL!!!  Lucky for me 2nd Chance 4 Life said they would take me so I am told my life is going to be AWESOME.  I'm very excited and can't wait to see what my future brings :)Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Please fill out an adoption application: Adoption application (Dog) Adoption Application (Cat)   Please understand we do not adopt out dogs to  families with children under the age of 5.  We do not adopt dogs to renters.  Some dogs will have fence requirements while others may not.   A pet is a lifetime commitment.  The dogs and cats in our system find themselves there, for the most part, because their humans did not have the same loyalty to them as they did to their owners.  We do not take the adoption process lightly, and will do everything in our power to make sure the animal is placed correctly the first time around for your sake and theirs.  Thank you for choosing to adopt not shop!

Story
Karma is an active playful girl in need of a new loving home. Karma is a schnauzer/terrier mix, female, 6 years old, spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, housetrained, crate-trained. Karma is an energetic, loyal pet, loves to be near her owners or relax and lay down on her bed nearby. Karma needs daily exercise, does excellent on walks and runs, enjoys playing catch and knows basic commands. Karma would do best in a home with experienced pet owners, adult(s) only, and as the only pet so she gets all the attention and love she needs. Karma needs to be introduced to people slowly and takes a few minutes to adjust to new guests when they enter her home. Karma is located in Birdsboro, PA; you can meet Karma by calling Buddy Rescue at 201-264-6968 or email blsmith@ptd.net. Karma is house trained and has used a dog door for majority of her life, and she also does well crated. Karma enjoys snuggling in bed with you or is satisfied in a crate or on a dog bed next to your bed. Karma was originally rescued and has lived with her current family over the past 5 years of her life, and is now in need of a new home. Karma would do best in a home with experienced pet owners, adult(s) only, and as the only pet so she gets all the attention and love she needs. Story
He's now about 8. His eyes are almost human-like; it seems as though he's staring into your soul. Knows sit, down, roll over, leave it, stay, shake, high five. Low energy, never needs walks, although he LOVES them. Leash reactive to dogs. Loves runs, car rides, foods like asparagus, romaine lettuce, and carrots. Left uncrated, is very house broken, and never chews on things. I love this dog with all of my soul, but we had a baby, and unfortunately, he is not safe around children. He is very anxious, and children make him extremely nervous. We were hoping it would work, but now that our son is mobile, Chaucer has displayed fear aggressive behavior. He can't live in a busy, loud house with lots of people in and out. He's not really a playful dog, he minds his own business at doggie daycare. Idk if he could live with another dog. He is loyal to a fault; he protects his people. He is independent, loving in his own way, and I hope I can find a home that loves him as much as we do.
