Story
If you would like to apply to take The sofa sitters home, click the link next to their picture, or Visit our website at Www.godogsgorescue.org and fill out an application! We look forward to hearing from you. Cuteness alert!!! If you are looking for a very low key, quiet pair of dogs, Tucker and Tanner are the dogs for you. They are a bonded pair, meaning they love and take care of each other like brothers. Both came from a hoarding situation...they were fed, but not socialized with people very much. Both of the boys like being around people but are very shy about being touched until they are very used to the person. They have been together in their current foster home for six months and have made progress in this area. They most enjoy sitting on the sofa near the family members, going outside in the backyard, and will take treats when they feel comfortable with the people. They are house-trained as long as they are kept on a schedule and are really easy-going and calm as long as their environment is routine and peaceful. They will require a home without small children with people who are willing to accept their quirky behaviors and patiently work with them to help them gain confidence and trust. They are good with other dogs, and can be cat-tested if needed. Watching the love between them has been a thing of wonder for their foster family and watching the progress they’ve made so far has been very rewarding. If you are the family that Tanner and Tucker need to live their best lives, please e-mail us at Go Dogs Go Rescue.

Story
The good: Cooper has many wonderful qualities. He loves the adults in “his” home. He is happy to greet you when you come home. He will sit on your lap and sleep all night in his bed alongside yours. He is 100% housetrained. He loves to be brushed. Cooper feels he needs to protect his human and home. He doesn’t mind his human picking him up. He likes toys and treats The not so good: Children make Cooper anxious. He doesn’t like them. He doesn’t care for visitors and will bark intensely when visitors arrive. His foster Mom & Dad will place him in another room when they have company. He will bark and cry, but manages ok. He doesn’t like be picked up by strangers and will snip. Cooper would do best in a home with no children. A single man or women or empty nesters..in a quiet home with not much traffic and Cooper would be the perfect dog. Cooper has a lump on his right side that the vet has diagnosed as a fatty lipoma. It doesn’t seem to bother him. His foster mom just picks him up carefully and he is fine. Cooper came with a prescription of Trazadone that the family that surrendered him sent with him. It says to give an hour before a stressful situation. His foster mom hasn’t had the need to give to him. He went for a grooming and he did ok. Cooper will love that one special person 100% If you are interested in adopting me, please fill out an application on our website www.fohari.org and email my former foster parent for more information: geobarlaf@verizon.net

Story
Adoptable in: MA, RI, NH, CT, and VTGood with dogs: YesGood with cats: Unknown, likely yesGood with kids: UnknownCrate trained: Working on itHouse trained: Working on itCharlie is a sweet dog with low energy. Every once in a while he likes to play with his humans with a stuffy or play-wrestling. He doesn't try to play with other dogs and is pretty indifferent about them. Charlie resource guards high value food but is fine with toys and bones around other dogs, he needs slow intros and supervision with other dogs for this reason.   He doesn't like the crate or when he can't see his humans.  Charlie requires a home where his humans are with him more often than not.  He is mostly house-broken. He will potty outside every time you take him out. If he's not sleeping he should go out every hour and a half or so, or else he'll potty in the house. His perfect home would be with someone who is home more often than not, and will take him for walks and let him snuggle. He likes to perch and look out the window, and take naps near his humans. For the most part he's an easy dog with a few quirks. Please Note: All dogs currently available for adoption are posted on our website. If you cannot find a particular dog on our website, he/she may be on a temporary foster hold. All dogs are otherwise posted until they are officially adopted. This dog may have other interested adopters in line. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application.
