Story
Meet Crosby.  He is a 5 year old schnauzer mix who weighs about 35 lbs.  He was a found as a stray and ended up in a rural Arkansas shelter.  Poor Crosby was on 'the' list.  We could not let that happen and arrangements were made to get Crosby to Nashville.  He has obviously been a pet as he fit right in with his foster mom and brother and made himself right at home.  Crosby is a vet sweet boy.  He is good with other dogs and he loves people.  He loves to be up on the sofa with you and follows his foster mom around.  Crosby walks well on a leash and he rides OK in the car.  He could improve in that area though.  Crosby is also housebroken and tolerates the crate.  he does not mind being walked on a leash to do his 'business' and loves to go for walks.  He could live in a home without a fenced in yard as he is an escape artist and will test any fence to see if he can get out.  SO better to be on the leash and mark escaping off the list.  This sweet boy is ready for his forever family.  He is neutered, current on all his shots and microchipped.  To be considered for his forever family please contact Vivienne at viviennejames@comcast.net or 615-943-7311.  APPROVED APPLICATION AND ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED.  (Crosby is in Nashville and can be transported to the northeast upon adoption.  Due to state regulations we are unable to adopt to residents of MA and RI.)

I'm a shy, three year old, energetic mix of Lab, Schnauzer, and German Short Haired Pointer, to name a few! I love to run and retrieve toys, and city life isn't for me. I get along with other dogs, as long as they don't try to boss me around. I'm fine with older children. I'm looking for someone who is patient, understanding, and who won't raise their voice with me. It takes me a little while to trust my humans, but once I do, I'll protect you forever. Applications may be submitted at hbschnauzerrescue.com Dogs will only be adopted to residents of the following: Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia and DC. Adopters must agree to take the dog through obedience training within 3 months of adoption (unless the dog is over age 10). Adopters must agree to keep the dog current on vaccinations and heart worm, flea, tick prevention on a year round basis.
