You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me! Please check below to see what upcoming adoption events I will be attending or apply here for a private meeting. If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <underdogrescue@petml.com> ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there*** Due to concern around COVID-19, Underdog Rescue is suspending all public adoption events and community events. We are still accepting applications for available dogs but are delaying in-person meet and greets due to the ‘stay at home’ policy. Thank you for your support. DOB: 07/20/2017 Requires another dog in home: Yes Okay with dogs of all sizes: Yes Okay with cats: Yes Okay with children under 12 years old: Unknown Requires a fenced yard: Yes Note: dogs must always be leashed whenever outside of a contained area Hello, my name is Sid and I am a healthy young adult male American Eskimo who’s pretty shy and afraid of loud noises and new surroundings. I don’t know how I’d do with those little people since they can definitely be pretty loud. That said, if my foster mom says it’s safe, I would be okay meeting a little one and see how it goes. I don’t know how I’d do in one of those crate things either since that would be a new “surrounding” for me…but hey, I’m up to the challenge. My foster mom is working with me on the potty training thing and I am working very hard to master it…believe me, it’s not as easy as it looks. I’m sure if you had to do your personal business outside in front of the whole world, you’d be a bit hesitant as well. I’m sure I’ll get it though once I’m on a really good schedule. I am super lucky because my foster mom has a fenced in yard for me to run around in and I feel safe there. I can’t imagine my life without a fenced yard! My foster mom is also helping me get used to that leash thing, but I’m not crazy about it right now, so that’s another reason a fence would be good for me. I’m good with other doggies and would prefer it if my new furever home has another doggie for me to play with and learn from…I’m sure I’d feel more safe with another doggie too. I’m fairly quiet but will verbally let you know if something alarms me. I’m good with those meowy things too…I treat them with much respect, so they don’t whack me in the face with their hands (I think you humans call them paws) that are ninja fast!! Believe me, you never see that thing comin’ then all of a sudden…WHACK, right in the kissa!! Anyway, if you are patient and have a lot of unconditional love to give then I really would love to meet you and have you take me to my new furever home so you can give me all the amazing pets that I love so much! I will be here patiently waiting for you! Many of our dogs are rescued from commercial breeders where they spent their lives getting comfort from their canine friends. In turn, most require another companion dog in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog, and do not currently have a dog residing with you, please understand that your home might not be the right fit for many of our dogs. ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there*** Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. ADOPTION EVENTS: Adoption events are updated as the foster home RSVP's to attend. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. You may wish to consider applying and setting up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved. ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website: http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/adoptionprocess/ Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN. All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions. FOSTER CARE: All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves. If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications and fill out a foster application. NUTRITION: Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets. All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet. All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal. YOU CAN HELP: Not able to foster or adopt right now? Please consider sponsoring an Underdog.
