Story
Cozette Breed: Bichon Birthdate: 6/7/12 Adoption donation: $300 Crate fee (if desired): $30 Location: Cape Girardeau Contact: missy@havaheartrescue.org My name is Cozette and I’m a 7yo bichon. I was rescued on October 19, 2019 and gave birth on October 26th. One of my sweet girls didn’t make it, but I am a very good mother to my surviving baby, Rosette. My foster mom says I can be very protective of the baby and her. I can be a little moody if I think someone is going to get one of them, but otherwise I am a very sweet girl. I LOVE to snuggle and nap on the couch. I like being talked to and having my head and belly rubbed. Every once and awhile, I like to do some zoomies in the house too. I have been very interested in a couple of movies or TV shows with dogs on them. And, there is this dog that looks just like me that I like to bark at in the glass below the living room TV. Mom keeps telling me it is just me, but I know better. I’m mostly potty trained, but tend to do a little marking. Right now, I don’t have a fence to play in, but I walk out on a retractable leash. As soon as I see my leash or hear “potty outside”, I jump up and am ready to go. Sometimes, I just like to walk down the driveway and take in everything going on around me and have to be reminded that I have business to do out there too. I sleep in a pen area with my bed in an open crate. I’m not always ready to go in, but sleep pretty well once I am (except when my baby wakes me up to play or eat). My foster mom says she thinks I would do okay with other dogs if my baby is not around. I snuggled my foster sister before little Rosette came along. And, when the other girls in the house start barking, I have to join in and see what is going on. The same with kids. I didn’t like it when my foster mom’s niece was holding my baby and stomped her foot. But, I would probably do okay with them if I am not worried about my little girl.
