Buddy is a handsome senior gentleman who has made leaps and bounds since he first came to PACC. He was very shy when he first arrived, but these days he greets his volunteer friends right at the front of his kennel with a smile and a wagging tail! Here’s what his friends have said about him:“I have been taking Buddy to the yard with his kennel mate 2-3 times a week and he has gone from having to be convinced to go out to to meeting me with a waggy tail. He is still wary of quick movements but even comes up for pets in the yard now. He has improved tremendously over the past few weeks!”“I offered Buddy treats which he took nicely and he allowed me to leash him. He excited the kennel easily following his kennel mate. He walked well and once he was comfortable, he allowed me to pet his head.”Buddy shares his kennel with a pal and has been tolerant and independent when meeting other dogs in playgroup. He’d like to meet any resident dogs before heading home to make sure it’s a good fit. Buddy will thrive in a home that will take things slowly and allow him time to adjust. Please ask to meet Buddy today!!

Cora is a bouncy senior lady whose owner loved her but was unable to continue to care for her, saying the following:“Cora really is a sweetheart. It breaks my heart to do this. I truly hope she finds a good person to live with and who will love her dearly.”Cora was adopted from another rescue in Kansas City in 2019 and made the journey to Arizona along with her person. She was housebroken in her former home and slept near her person at night. Here’s what one volunteer said about meeting Cora:“I met Cora for the first time today. I sat on the floor and she quickly approached me and stood right next to me as if we`d always known each other. I reached out to pet her and her tail started wagging and she enjoyed the attention. I offered her a treat and her tail started going even faster. I discovered that she does a very nice sit for treats. I found her to be easygoing, gentle, quiet, and well-behaved. I`m looking forward to spending more time with her.”Cora has been playful and social when meeting other dogs in playgroup, but can be assertive at times, so needs to meet any resident dogs before heading home to make sure it’s a good fit. Bonus- Cora has positive cat history! Please ask to meet Cora today!!
