Rector Fletcher is a 1-2 year old Treeing Walker Coonhound that wandered up as a starving stray and made himself at home. He now weighs about 75 pounds, and is loaded with personality. He is very trainable and amicable. He is cratetrained and knows â€œnoâ€, â€œcomeâ€, and â€œeasyâ€. He is extremely playful and highly food-driven. Fletcher has done well with the other dogs in his foster home and tends to acquiesce, unless itâ€™s about food. He has done well with the 4 year old boy and wants to play, but he will need more training before he can be trusted with little children, only because he does not fully understand his own strength and size. Fletcher would thrive in a home with one or more canine playmates, adequate exercise and a family that understands that he's still a big puppy. He is being fostered north of Winston-Salem. Calling ALL Senior Lovers! My name is Sunni and my humans actually pronounce my name like SOONEE. I am special senior but all of us seniors are special!! The vet guessed I am over 10 and actually probably more like 11 or so. Things I love are going for walks, taking rides in the car, in fact I will jump right in the car if you are not careful that is how much I like taking rides. And of course eating!! I will take any medicines you give me if you give me cheese or peanut butter, man I love that stuff. All my life I lived outside but now I absolutely love being in the comfort of the indoors. My house training is going really well and I am getting used to letting my humans know I need to go out to do my business. There is nothing like being brushed, combed, rubbed and loved on, it is so relaxing!!! I came from a life of not getting much attention to being so loved on and now that I know what I missed out on all that time I just want more of this love thing. I love other dogs but I do not think I can handle a puppy at my age, they are just to much energy for me. Kids, well I can handle their loving but really they need to be over 12 so they know how to treat a senior. I take a bath quite nicely even though it is not my favorite thing to do. I do have allergies and I am taking Benadryl. I am spayed, had my shots and I am heartworm negative. Can you open your heart and home to give me a good place to live for the rest of my days? He wears a belly band in the house for leg lifting purposes but will bark at 7am when He needs to go out to poo... and then will dance for breakfast and treats! He is SO goofy and fun to watch.
