Story
We adopted Luna last winter from St. Louis County Animal Control. She had come in as a stray, so her history before is really unknown. We chose her because she was so friendly and sweet with everyone. She had about a month of daily professional training at Kennelwood, and her obedience is very good for a pet. She walks nicely on leash. She is friendly with children, cats, and other dogs. With small children and our 18 year old cat, she can sometimes be a little too friendly and rambunctious for them. While it breaks my heart, the reason we need to rehome her is that our schedule and environment just don't allow us to provide Luna the activity level she needs. She's an athletic dog who loves to run. I've taken her on runs of up to 4 miles and she loves it, but with 3 kids and a busy schedule, I just don't have time to do this every day. Walking a mile or two twice per day is just not enough for her. She would do great in a home with other dog friends where she could run and play.

Story
Bruce was adopted from AWA 10 years ago as a young puppy. His human mom passed away about 5 years ago. Awhile back, Bruce became part of a blended family. Unfortunately Bruce did not get along with his new dog brother and vice versa. That is no fault of his own. Bruce was surrendered to the humane society downtown who in turn contacted AWA and he came back to foster care. Bruce is very sweet, loving and wants to be with you all the time. He is house broke, has excellent leash manners, knows basic commands and is an all around good dog. However, he gets along with some of the dogs in his foster family, but not all of them. It seems to be other male dogs that he doesn’t care for, female dogs do not seem to be an issue. He has been around cats and shows no interest in them. We feel he would thrive in a home as the only canine family member – felines would be just fine. Bruce is 10 years old, neutered, heartworm negative, micro-chipped and up to date on all vaccines. My name is Kobe. They think I am probably around 6 months old. I am SUPER happy guy but may need a minute to warm up to you. I was surrendered because they bought me off Craigslist then realized that they couldn't afford my care. I may be a little shy at first but warm up quickly. I am doing well with my crate training but going to need basic training because I don't know what you want me to do.
