Story
***Courtesy Post***    Pixey is being fostered in Altoona ( Des Moines) Iowa.   Pixey just turned 2 years old and was born on January 19, 2018. She is a spayed female weighing approximately 75 pounds and is up to date on all vaccinations. She has a great temperament, super friendly with all dogs and humans, she loves kids (she grew up with 3), she loves to snuggle and play, she just has a ton of energy. With that being said Pixey would do best in an active home preferably with enough space for her to run. She knows her basic commands and is very smart but just has a very loud bay and doesn't like to be quiet. She does not jump fences and never really gets grumpy, overall she is a pretty good dog.  Her owner's life got busy and she has been going to doggie daycare since a puppy.  She is good with other dogs but does need to feed apart.  She does not like cats.  SAll of our dogs are in private foster homes. We are not a shelter with hours. A visit can be arranaged after an adoption questionnaire has been filled out and sent in. Please try email first. We are all volunteers that work so we can not easily take or make phone calls.

I'm Milo and I'm a pretty laid back guy. I love bones and playing with my sister Kida. I enjoy a great belly scratch and plenty of time outside in the sun. My sister is very shy and I act as her protector, as any good brother should! Because she is so shy, we are looking for a quiet home where she will feel more comfortable. I am house trained, kennel trained and ready to find a family that my sister and I can call our own! Milo is a beagle mix, weighs about 30 pounds and was born approximately 8/1/2017. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, tested negative for heartworm and started on preventive. The adoption for Milo and Kida together is $400.

I'm Kida and I'm looking for a new family for my brother Milo and I to join. I'm very shy and it takes me time to warm up to people. I tend to hide behind my brother until I feel more comfortable. My favorite things include belly scratches, sunbathing, and playing with my brother Milo. We would love to find a quiet home so that I can feel more comfortable. Can Milo and I join your family? Kida is a beagle mix, weighs about 30 pounds and was born on 8/1/2017. She had a bout of pancreatitis so needs to be on a special food to keep her healthy and happy. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, tested negative for heartworms and started on preventive. The adoption for Milo and Kida together is $400.

Presenting Buster the Beagle! Buster is a sweet senior looking for a retirement home. Through no fault of his own, Buster was dropped off at a local shelter. At 12 years of age, that had to be a big shock for this boy! Luckily, Buster is a resilient guy – after spending a few months at the shelter he’s now in a loving foster home. You’d never guess he’s a senior, he looks great and has a good amount of energy. Buster is a happy dog, in spite of all the changes he’s been through. Buster weighs 35 pounds, and is neutered and up-to-date on shots. He has a chronic dry-eye condition, so he needs eyedrops twice a day. Buster’s a trooper, and is used to the routine. (He probably has a little vision loss, and we suspect some hearing loss too.) But, for a Beagle, the NOSE knows! Buster loves his walks and he LOVES to smell, smell, smell, and his tail wags, wags, wags! Buster even gets along with kids and dogs, and is also crate trained.  If you would like to meet this senior gentleman, please contact info@nebraskanokill.org. Suggested adoption donation: $150.00
