Story
Gideon was found on the side of the road near death. He had been starved, beaten, shot, and stabbed with a wooden stick. He has taken a while to recover and still has a bullet lodged in his neck, but this guy is resilient. He has learned to trust humans and is actually a big strong cuddle bug. Gideon cannot wear any type of electronic collar. He is blind in the left eye and partially deaf in the left ear. Takes no daily medications but has pain medication if needed for neck stiffness and discomfort. He is a very good boy and doesn’t chew or counter surf. But he has developed some separation anxiety and should be crated when home alone. He likes to engage in gentle play with other dogs and doesn’t mind cats.

Story
Found abandoned in the woods last spring, Lucy has been living outside in a kennel & being cared for by the finding couple prior to rescue. But with cold weather upon us she is learning inside doggie skills and is learning to trust humans... Very cuddly ! Update: Lucy is still learning to trust and is doing well, but we have discovered that she HATES cats and will bark for hours after seeing one :( Also Lucy gets extremely car sick despite meclizine so prefers a home where she will do next to no travel.. She is a perfect homebody hound.. sweet and cuddly , has no desire to travel, and does not chew on things so no need to crate while away. Housetrained only to doggie door and fenced in yard, will not potty on a leash. Has been returned 2 times for excessive potty accidents.
