Story
Sage is a 5 year old hound, about 65 lbs. She is very sweet normally but unfortunately she bit another dog in my neighborhood and I can no longer keep her. She would do best as an only dog. She's very smart and loves to snuggle. She's housebroken and only chews toys (she destroys the squeaky ones, they're her favorite). I need help finding her a great place to live.

Story
There’s no mistaken’…. Eddie is a Treeing Walker Coonhound! We at BAARK love Hounds, in spite of their sometimes quirky behaviors, and we sure love Eddie! Eddie is a young adult, estimated to be 4 years old. He enjoys the company of people but most definitely prefers the companionship of his dog friends. This is typical of Coonhounds. When joining BAARK, Eddie was scared and untrusting of people; in his past, he was not treated very nicely by them. Eddie had been living out on his own, somehow surviving the elements, and the neglect he had experienced previously. He ran away from his owner who knew he was gone, but did not bother to retrieve Eddie. It seems Eddie knew he had to get out of that situation even if it meant being out on his own. Having been so let down and mistreated by humans, it took quite some time to capture him, until one day he just gave up. Since joining BAARK, Eddie has come a long way, greatly improving his socializing skills and doggy manners. But his new family must realize…he’s a typical quirky, energetic Coonhound. The idea forever family for Eddie must be one very familiar with Hounds, specifically Coonhounds, and be able to provide a safe, secure, and attentive environment for him. Also important is an awareness that Coonhounds can bark quite a bit when stimulated to do so by environmental factors…….. raccoons for example!! A high - quality food as well as appropriate nutritional supplements are most important for Eddie, as they are for all dogs. As with all of our dogs, Eddie is neutered, up-to-date on all vaccinations, heartworm negative and on year-round heartworm preventative, and microchipped for permanent identification.
