Howdy howdy. My name is out of this world Dexter. I am a Vizsla/ Jack Russel combo. Being these breed combos is why an adopter needs to research well. I am verrry smart, verrrrry athletic, and verrrry energetic. Although I like people I need a warm up time before they think we can be intimate. But once I've decided that you are okay then I will love you forever. I have a high prey drive and and will persevere. I need to have some obedience training to help challenge me I will need to be able to get out in a fenced in area to run. I love to run. I play well with others and live to play chase and tugg with another dog. I like kids but because of my suspicious nature I should probably be on an all adult or teenage kid home. I would love to go back packing, I could event carry my own pack. I can jog forever so if you are training I can be your training partner. Please consider me if you want a very loyal, smart, and challenging partner.

Are you looking for a dog that loves to walk, but also enjoys downtime and cuddles on the couch? That is me! I love having a fenced yard so I can run and play on my own as well. I like to learn new things especially tricks, which I enjoy showing off.  When you leave the house, all you need to do is ask me to get in my crate and I go right in. If I am left out, I tend to bored and get into mischief, so it is best for everyone. Just give me a treat and we are all good. I am an attention hog, so I wouldn't want to live with another pet in the house; I need to be the one and only non-human in the home. I love older kids who know how to behave appropriately around dogs, but little kids tend to make me uneasy.  I am really a great companion. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home.
