Story
DeeDee is a 2 year old spayed female retriever/weimanarer mix who weighs about 60 pounds. She was rescued from a bad situation and sadly her eye went untreated for so long, that she now had limited vision in her right eye. Don't worry though, that does not stop her and you would never know! DeeDee is a melt in your lap kind of dog that just wants to be pet all day and thinks that every person and coming to see just her and no one else. She loves her people and enjoys going for walks, laying on her bed and would make a great hiking partner. She is very food motivated and enjoys playing with other dogs! If you are interested in adopting, please submit an adoption application on our website www.justice-rescue.com

Story
Legend is a stunning 2-year old Weimeraner mix looking for a home with patience and love. Legend was turned into a high-kill shelter when his owner’s new landlord wouldn’t allow him in the building. The shelter quickly realized he needed a rescue group to help him with his fear and anxiety, and with little time left he joined Arctic Spirit (OK, probably not a sled dog, but he deserved a break!). He loves attention but will need a home that can help him learn to trust and feel safe. We believe he had very little experience in the world prior to being surrendered. He is a bright, energetic boy who loves to play fetch with his rope and ball, and loves to snuggle up at night. He is very smart, learns quickly, and is treat motivated. He LOVES to play fetch He will need a home with no young children and no other dogs or one other dog who is relatively calm, as he finds commotion stressful. True to his breed, he will need daily exercise. Legend has gone to training to help manage his fear aggression. He is sweet and loving with people he knows, and craves attention, but does not do well with strangers. He needs a home who will continue to work with him to ensure he feels safe and that strangers are safe around him. He has mild medication to help with this and is learning that the world can be a wonderful place. Legend is neutered, up to date on shots and in excellent health. His adoptive family will need to attend a couple of training sessions, paid by Arctic Spirit Rescue, to help in the transition of this beautiful boy. He will make a wonderful pet for the right home. We provide adoption services to homes within a 100 mile radius of our suburban Philadelphia, PA office. If you are outside of that area please contact a shelter or rescue group closer to your home. All of our dogs are spayed or neutered prior to adoption, microchipped, vaccinated, and evaluated in a private home. You will find details regarding our adoption policy, process, fee, and application on our website (www.arcticspiritrescue.org). Please be sure you meet the qualifications we have listed for the dog you would like to adopt. No exceptions are made regarding the dog's requirements and we take our time to find the perfect home. No dogs are shown without an approved application. We do not have a kennel facility. All of our dogs are fostered and evaluated in experienced private homes.
