Adoption application at www.aberdeenstr.com
***MUST SUBMIT APPLICATION before we will respond to email or phone inquiries. Thanks for your cooperation!***
WE ARE NOT A SHELTER, WE ARE AN ALL-VOLUNTEER RESCUE WITH FULL-TIME JOBS.
Please do not contact us to come look at a dog.
We will contact you once we have reviewed your completed application if we think your home might be a good fit. A reference check, phone interview, and home visit will be completed before meeting an adoptable dog.
We work quickly. Please do not submit an application until you are ready to bring a new furry family member home. Expect your references to be contacted shortly after submitting your application. We adopt out to homes around the US and Canada, but require that you are present for the meet and greet in Renton, WA.
Our adoption fee is non-negotiable as we need these funds to cover medical bills. The adoption fee is due on the day of adoption in the form of a check, Chase QuickPay, PayPal, or cash.
.Barbie female, 20.6 lbs, possibly a West highland terrier & Jindo mix, 1 year old, spayed, up to date on shots, microchipped, heart worm negative, dewormed. Completely bonded, must be adopted together.
The madness never ends & it’s always one after another of sad stories just like Barbie’s & Bee Bee’s, the 2 stunning & so loving & oh so deeply bonded sisters who were abandoned in front of a market in Korea. No one seen who dumped the girls or knew why someone would do such a thing but the market owner could not keep the beloved sisters so she surrendered them to the city shelter where of course they would not make it out alive unless the wonderful Korean rescue came in & saved them, which they did & then asked us to help these beautiful girls.
As always we are beyond grateful to the Korean rescue & we are so extremely thankful for what they do day in & day out for these babies, we cannot thank you enough.
Barbie & Bee Bee were bought back to the USA & are now US citizens. Straight away we could see the girls were thin & really needed to put on weight which their foster mum in CA had been working on.
The beautiful sisters are now in snowy WA & ready for their new loving forever home together, these girls will not be separated as they are so deeply bonded & love each other deeply.
The girls foster mum said they are such quick learners & truly combined at the hip & only have eyes for each other but absolutely love all the humans in the house who love them, give them cuddles & of course feed them.
The girls are very thin & especially Bee Bee, their foster mum has been working on putting weight on the girls.
We can’t imagine the girls ever had toys before because once they found the toy box it was love at first site. The girls are super smart their foster mum said she already taught them sit within a day or 2 & of course are so food & treats motivated. They enjoy a good game of chase with each other inside & outside & really enjoy the backyard.
Barbie & Bee Bee really do enjoy a great outfit & just wants to be loved as she & her sister should be.
Barbie & Bee Bee have been around many breeds of dogs & they are currently fostered with foster siblings so they must go to a forever home together, we absolutely will not separate these deeply devoted to each other girls.
Barbie is is roughly 20.6 lbs & 1 year old & maybe a West highland terrier mix & still needs to put on weight & she is spayed, microchipped, up to date on her shots, heart worm negative & dewormed.
We have spent just alone in transport $920 just to bring the girls into the country then to bring them into WA & this does not include any medical that we had gotten done for the girls.
Barbie has been around cats since being in the rescue & did chase the cat a couple of times but is being taught not to, but it’s always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals together & we have not had her around small children but the girls are currently with teenagers & doing great with them so we do not recommend small children & it’s always up to the family to be responsible with their children.
We do not know for sure what breed Barbie is mixed with & it’s always up to the new potential family to look at the pictures & decide what they think her breed is.
As with all of our rescues & Barbie’s friends she will need work on potty training & training, so this should be something the new family would be willing to work on & commit to. Please do not submit an application if you are not willing to commit to one of our rescues care for their whole life & that includes if they need training. Please do not email us asking is Barbie potty trained or available, or will we separate Bee Bee from Barbie, nor do we ship dogs anywhere as we will not respond.
We would never say anyone of our rescues are potty trained. Our rescues need homes where the people are understanding of their past & what they have been through & what they will need in their daily lives & not willing to give up on them & if they do need training in their new home will in fact take them to training & not just say they will when applying.
Please only submit an application if you are truly interested in adopting Barbie & Bee Bee together & going through the process and have read their listing fully to the end & are interested in adopting. If you are not responsive to our calls, emails or your references do not respond we will move on & remove your application from our system. You must be willing to go through our screening process which includes your references being checked, a phone interview & a home visit followed by a meet and greet & if it’s a good fit, up to our discretion. We will only be accepting applications for Barbie who understands her needs & that meet all the requirements for this adorable little fellow.
Once we find the right home for each little soul we work fast, within days so the dogs can go to their forever homes in quite a timely manner. We do not hold onto dogs for people as our goal is to save lives. We also cannot respond to every application unfortunately.
Barbie & Bee Bee have a combined adoption fee of $1200 & is ready for their truly loving forever home & compassion & understanding of what they have been through. An application must be filled out before consideration for adoption. Please do not apply for a dog until you are ready to commit a lifetime to him/her. We are an all-volunteer 501c3 non-profit group of animal lovers. Our adoption fee is non-negotiable as we need these funds to pay our current medical bills for our dogs as well as any future dogs we rescue as well.?As an adopter, you must be prepared to accept the fact that these dogs are rescues and, just like you and I, they all have their own individual personalities. In most cases, these little ones have been through a difficult journey that started when their family gave them up or they became lost. They may have been under stress, neglected or even abused in their past life or frightened by being left alone on the streets to fend for themselves. ?Our number one focus is finding these little loves a wonderful forever home with a family who is going to care for them and show them what it is like to be loved, a safe environment, a full belly and a warm bed. These sweet babies do not ask for much from you but they may require a little patience and understanding.?WE ARE NOT A SHELTER, WE ARE AN ALL VOLUNTEER RESCUE WITH FULL-TIME JOBS. Please do not contact us to come look at a dog We will contact you once we have received and reviewed your completed application. A Home visit as well as a reference check MUST be completed before a meet & greet can be scheduled. Thank you for your patience and cooperation.?Adoption Process ?All of our dogs are in foster homes, so please fill out an application on our website to meet them in person: www.aberdeenstr.com.
