Cayden is a young and athletic dog who has bounced around a bit more than he’d like. He lived in one home for several months did well with other dogs his size, walked well on leash, and was playful and loved toys. His people say that he likes to swim and is very affectionate. In another home of several months Cayden was again housebroken and also crate trained. His people say that he enjoys car rides, likes getting baths, and enjoys playing fetch and tug o’ war. And he’s sure never met a treat he doesn’t like! Here’s what one volunteer said about Cayden:“Cayden is a sweet little dog who is easy to leash up and walks nicely on leash. He knows sit, listens well, and makes good eye contact with is handler. I always enjoy walking this boy!”Cayden shares his shelter kennel with a pal and was playful and social when meeting other dogs in playgroup. Staff described him as easygoing and said he LOVES to run around the play yard. Cayden is looking for an active family to keep his body and his brain busy, and a secure yard to keep him safe and sound. Ask to meet Cayden today!!

Story
Rascal is a spry senior who first came to PACC after a run in with a cactus. We didn’t see how the cactus made out, but Rascal was full of cactus spines, so we’re assuming it was draw. While her name may conjure up images of wild puppy shenanigans, Rascal is actually a mature senior lady and wants to make sure you don’t judge her by her name alone. You can’t judge a book by it’s cover, right? Maybe that doesn’t exactly fit, but you get it…Rascal recently spent a bit of time in a foster home and her foster family described her as a lovely dog who just wants to be around her humans. She loves to cuddle and follow her people around the house and is gentle and affectionate with a moderate activity level. This senior is still spry! She was quiet while in her foster home and rode well in the car. She loves toys that she can rip or shred and will thrive in a home where she can get plenty of attention and a bit of training. Here`s what Rascal’s volunteer friends have said about her:“I’ve enjoyed walking Rascal so much. When I first met her, she was easy to leash and exit from her kennel. She walked very well but what endeared her to me is that she likes to `hug`. She would stand on her hind legs and put her front two legs on my chest throughout the walk. It really felt as if she just wanted to be hugged. It was the sweetest thing and I wish I could have hugged her for as long as she wanted. But we continued our walk (with intermittent hugging) and she showed no reactivity to anything. This sweet older girl is overlooked and she obviously just wants a home that will give her love and affection. I`m hopeful for her!”“Rascal is a smart and sassy lady who has been in the shelter for way too long! She is confident and independent, yet affectionate. She loves attention and snuggles with volunteers when she`s out on walks. She’s a senior but she has a puppy-level playfulness at times and acts middle- aged at best!”This silver fox (yes, we know she’s actually a lovely tan color) was fairly assertive when meeting other dogs in playgroup, so she’d like to meet any resident dogs before heading home to make sure it’s a good fit. Don’t miss out on this girl- please ask to meet Rascal today!

Story
Sailor is a 10 yr old former brood mom who just left the Kansas farm after rearing 27 puppies over the years. She is really delighted to be finally seeking a forever home, that will shower her with all the love and attention she can get and so rightly deserves. Her small dog and cat status is not yet known. Sailor is a busy 10 year old. She is outgoing, friendly, will bark when she wants something, doesn't have accidents in her crate, loves her food and treats. She gets along with the other two well. UPDATE: I get to write my bio first because I'm the senior representative of the group. That means I'm the oldest. I'm 10 year old but people say I don't act my age. I was a farm girl my entire life. I was never a racing doggie but I had 27 babies who were. I don't know why people don't believe me when I tell them that. It's true! My farm name was White Sail, so I decided to use "Sailor" as my pet name. I had no idea what a sailor was. When the other doggies told me, I was afraid I was going to end up living on a boat! I feel much more comfortable now that I'm in Arizona. No water anywhere! Everyone says I'm super sweet and playful and cute. You should totally foster or adopt me if you don't live on a boat. Sailor

Story
Salsa is a 3 and 1/2 yr old red fawn sweetie who just came from a Kansas farm after racing 125 races. She was so excited to make the trip after she heard about pet life and all the perks. Her small dog and cat status is not yet known. Salsa is full of personality. She is friendly and seems to get along with the two other girls. She doesn't have accidents in her crate, loves her food and treats and will let you know if she wants something. Her back foot/leg was looked at by Briarcrest and she doesn't seem to be in any pain, just doesn't want to put it down much. It doesn't slow her down.
