Story
Due to current travel restrictions there may be a long delay before I can get to you. Please only apply for me if you are willing to wait. Gumdrop (Gandom)Breed: Whippet mixAge: 1-1/2 yrsGender: Fe, spayedWgt/Hgt: 44 lbs / 23 inchesEnergy level: moderate to highRelations: good with dogs / kids & cats unknownHighlights: Energetic, smart, sweetRegion: Middle East Region: Middle East A person found me here in the Middle East and saw the bone of my back leg was sticking out from my muscle and it was bleeding a lot. This rescuing angel knew I was in great pain, because I was constantly screaming. She brought me to the doctor and had my leg operated on. Sadly, they could not entirely fix the damage and so my leg was cut off above the infection point to avoid the infection spreading to my body. So, here I am a tripaw... but I am alive. I tend to be a kind hearted girl to others, whether it is people or other dogs. https://youtu.be/9UXI_AhV0Zw. Not sure about cats, I have never been introduced to one yet. I am certainly friendly, but I would likely want to chase one. I love people so much, I am sure I would be fine with kids too. I enjoy playing and playing and playing some more. I do not seem to need rest, maybe I am the original Energizer bunny. Look at my cheery face, ready to brighten your day. https://youtu.be/O1Grad1JbrM. It is likely an apartment would not be the best situation. Probably the best home would be one that is quite active. Folks who are constantly up and about, going places and doing things. Gee, the dog park would provide us hours of fun things to do. Oh, I bet we could try many things. You will have to gauge how strenuous an activity I can do. But, I will want to try it all. Hiking in the forest, running on the beach, let's go. Oooh, I so want to be able to really run around, not be stuck in a shelter with limited area to run. Having a yard for my energy level is probably an important thing. If you had plenty of space, that would be soooo special, especially if you had a dog friend already there to play with. Please bring me to Canada soon, before I go stir crazy here. I could provide you with endless amusement.   I am spayed/neutered, *vaccinated and microchipped. My adoption fee is $550.00 CAD, this includes my airfare to Canada.   Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue. Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. More information can be found on our website. *Vaccinations: Dogs from the Middle East are vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, leptospirosis, adenovirus type 1 and para-influenza. They are not given bordatella as that has not been a problem the Middle East.  ##354069##
