Story
Skyy is a chipper, athletic, golden girl that is searching for a her forever home. Don't let the grey hairs fool you, this 10 year old golden girl is full of spunk and has potential in amateur agility. She is a small/medium sized dog with a lean build. She has long legs but weighs between 25-30 pounds. Skyy loves people and dogs equally. Skyy came to me from a friend who's health forced her to move in with family who did not allow her to bring her dog. I promised to find a permanent home that will give her the love, attention, and comfort that she has been accustomed to. Skyy is housebroken and crate trained. She has been in a home since she was 2 months old but has always struggled with mild anxiety which is why I am trying to re-home her myself rather than surrender her to a shelter. Because of her anxiety, I think she would do best in a home without young kids and lives as the only dog with doggie playdates. She has never bitten anyone but can be fearful.

Story
Thank you for your interest in one of our Hero Babies! Before inquiring, we thought it was important to share a few of our policies. Your Current Pets - We do require that all of your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered. Adoptions - We do not have a shelter, and are a foster-home based organization. Other than meeting our babies at events, we do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a homecheck prior to adoption.
