She is extremely affectionate with humans, loves to give kisses, and happily spends time with her people when playtime is over. Nova is housebroken, crate trained, spayed, fully vaccinated & microchipped. She is currently being fostered in GA, but can also be available for adoption in the northeast. Thank you for your interest in one of our Hero Babies! Before inquiring, we thought it was important to share a few of our policies. Your Current Pets - We do require that all of your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered. Adoptions - We do not have a shelter, and are a foster-home based organization. Other than meeting our babies at events, we do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a homecheck prior to adoption.

Skyy is a chipper, athletic, golden girl that is searching for a her forever home. Don't let the grey hairs fool you, this 10 year old golden girl is full of spunk and has potential in amateur agility. She is a small/medium sized dog with a lean build. She has long legs but weighs between 25-30 pounds. Skyy loves people and dogs equally. Skyy came to me from a friend who's health forced her to move in with family who did not allow her to bring her dog. I promised to find a permanent home that will give her the love, attention, and comfort that she has been accustomed to. Skyy is housebroken and crate trained. She has been in a home since she was 2 months old but has always struggled with mild anxiety which is why I am trying to re-home her myself rather than surrender her to a shelter. Because of her anxiety, I think she would do best in a home without young kids and lives as the only dog with doggie playdates. She has never bitten anyone but can be fearful.

A perfect ten! Bridgett is a female, five year old, Mountain Cur/Whippet-mix that checks all the boxes for a wonderful family companion. Quite striking, she is sleek and athletic, with a brown and white coat. Her cute stub tail wags constantly. Bridgett loves life and loves everyone. Gentle and affectionate, she is good with children, dogs, and cats. Bridgett loves to run and play and she is a dream to walk on a leash. An active family to take her on long walks or runs would be best suited for her. Once her energy is expended, Bridgett is content to sit by your side or lay at your feet. She is housebroken and very well mannered. Extremely social, she would love to have another doggie pal to play tag with outside. A fenced in yard will be needed to keep her safe from wandering. We got Botchi in college and have had a wonderful 8 years with him. However we always knew he wasn’t the best behaved around kids. Now that we are starting a family of our own with a baby girl and another baby boy on the way - we are realizing we should find him a place he can be happy child-free, instead of placing him in a situation where he’d bite one of our children. That ends badly for everyone. Botchi is a cuddle bug! He loves snuggling up on the couch or in bed. He loves sun bathing, and nice brisk walks. We have never stayed consistent with training, but he is very smart! If you have time and treats, you could teach him to do a lot! His bad habits are getting into the trash and jumping on the table to eat food. We call it “Botchi-proofing” which we will explain- but he does make a great vacuum! He also will run away if not on leash or fenced in (he’s good with electric fence training). We are hoping to find him a nice home that won’t be around children that often.
