Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Stella is between 3 and 4 years old and a tiny girl at approximately 35lbs. She gets along with other dogs but they do have to be a mellow dog, not a hyper, in your face type of dog. She is very social with people! Stella is a low energy, lazy couch potato! She also hates the cold- she needs a sweater and booties. She is sweet, eager to please, playful and goofy at times. She doesn't enjoy being on a leash so Stella is not your typical dog. She does not need walks daily but would enjoy a hike every now and again on a trail that is not full of other dogs. Stella can be leash reactive and a bit reactive when she sees animals outside through the window. She would do best with a fenced-in backyard possibly in a more rural type of setting. OR simply a house that is set back from the road so she doesn't see dogs passing by. Do not let that sway you... she can co-exist with cats and dogs once she is properly introduced. Please fill out an application to welcome Stella into your family!  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Adoption donation includes Spay/Neuter, UTD on Vaccinations, deworming, and flea treatment.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Annie!   Annie is a 1 year old mixed breed... has the face of a pit bull/boxer, body of a whippet! She’s definitely a dog we’d love to DNA test!    Annie is about the happiest dog you will ever meet. There isn’t anything that doesn’t make her heart explode with joy. New toys, empty boxes, seeing her friends (human and dog), snow falling, the treat bag being opened or picking up her leash!    Annie has also mastered the art of snuggling! It's her foster mom's favorite thing about her! She snuggles so close that you think she might fuse to you. Her head is often laying on your shoulder as she snuggles. At bedtime she will nudge herself under the blankets, touching your legs and drift off to sleep. She’ll often put herself to bed if you stay up too late. She also thinks she’s a cat and loves to lounge on the back cushions of a couch!    Annie has also mastered some basic life skills-- She knows sit, shake and just recently mastered stay! She worked hard to learn stay... working on that impulse control. But she did it, and we couldn’t be prouder.    Annie is a girl with an insatiable need to destroy toys... but ONLY toys! It’s quite incredible that she knows the difference between what she should and shouldn’t chew on. She does this funny thing where she will pick up shoes off the floor and put them on the couch. She doesn’t chew them, it’s like she’s just picking them up so they aren’t on the floor.   Annie would do well in a home with another dog(s) that matches her energy level. She currently resides with 3 senior dogs who provide her with no outlet to play. She tries so hard to get them to play with her, but they just don’t want to. They all get along, they just don’t want to play.    Annie would love a fenced backyard where she can be with her people, her canine siblings and run to her hearts content (it’s one of her favorite things to do).    Annie is housebroken and lets you know when she needs to go out. She’s vocal about her need to potty and will stand next to you and whine until you take her out.    Annie is exuberant as she’s still young (born 10/31/18). Her foster mom would recommend a home with older children (8 and older). Not because she doesn’t love kids (because she LOVES kids), but simply because she is incredibly active, if not clumsy. There is a potential for her to unintentionally knock over toddlers.    Annie is incredibly food motivated. Which certainly helps when trying to train her!    If interested in meeting and potentially adopting Annie, please fill out an adoption application!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Adoption donation includes Spay/Neuter, UTD on Vaccinations, deworming, and flea treatment.

Story
**COLT MUST BE RE-HOMED WITH HIS 2 YR OLD BROTHER MAX (black chihuahua/miniature poodle) Max is shown on this site as well. Colt is 8 years old, I'd say 20 pounds. He very much acts like a young spring chicken though. Colt is a VERY friendly dog. He is half high energy and half lazy bones! He either runs around like crazy or can sleep for hours, and is the best at snuggling! We have two babies, 19 months and 6 months, and we just simply cannot give enough attention to Colt as he needs. We rescued Colt from the SPCA when he was a 1 year old. He was shuffled between a few homes and had a tough life before us. He was kept in a garage, and he is afraid of bad weather. He will shake and try to hide during thunder especially. He was possibly abused because he is very afraid of the broom, vacuum, etc.
