Story
Lovely Mel joined the ALP Team on October 6, 2019. Mel was seen by an internist at MedVet and was diagnosed with Water Diabetes Insipidus. She also was diagnosed with a bladder infection and has been treated with antibiotics. She is starting to respond well to the Desmopressin medication for the water diabetes insipidus. This precious girl loves loves loves people, but not small dogs or cats. She loves going for car rides. We are praying that she will find a foster or forever home very soon. Mel will do best in a home with someone able to let her out a couple times during the day and also a home with a fenced in yard. No kitties or small dogs. Mel is under the care of our veterinarian and is boarding at Celina, Ohio. Note: We don't know if Mel has been around small children (under 6 years old). We would prefer to place her in a home with older children.

Seymour is looking for his forever home. Family circumstances have changed and this sweet boy is now on the hunt for his forever couch. Seymour is about 7 1/2 years young. Loves people and soft beds. Seymour would do best as an only dog. Seymour is a loving boy, he is very affectionate and loves to be petted. Seymour loves toys, these are must for this handsome hound. As incredibly sweet and loving he can be, he would prefer to be an only hound. Seymour crates well. He's very smart and adjusts to routine quickly. Story
Needles joined the American Lurcher Rescue Project Team on December 1, 2019. He is striking brindle boy who just retired from field trial racing. Hawkeye is about 9 years young, This cute and handsome guy loves people and being petted. He will make an awesome companion. Needles is searching for his forever family and soft couch with a fenced in yard. We do not believe he will do well with cats. This handsome boy will blossom over the next few months. He has already gained a few pounds since he arrived at Celina, Ohio. He came to us on the thin side. Needles is currently boarding at Celina, Ohio. We are hoping to find a foster or forever home for this sweet guy soon.
