Story
Newton is a sweet senior whippet mix. Adorably sweet Newton was an owner surrender to a local shelter at 14 years old because they were moving. He is sweet and just wants someone to love and cuddle with.  He is around 13 pounds and just a love.  He is an easy dog, just goes with the flow.  He fit right into my household and was accepted by my dogs right away.  He is good with kids; seems to love to look after them and make sure they are safe.  He loves walks and does great on a leash. All Dallas DogRRR adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption.  The standard minimum donation for puppies is $325 + 8.25% tax =  $351.81, for dogs over 12 months the adoption fee is $225 + 8.25% tax = $243.66 and for our senior dogs 8 years and up is $100 + 8.25% tax = $108.25; this increase includes sales tax recently required by the State of Texas to collect.  You can view all the adoptable pets and fill out an adoption application online on our website at http://dallasdogrrr.org.  For more information, you can email adopt@dallasdogrrr.org.   Upon receiving your application please allow us 2-3 business days to review and process. Thank you for your interest in adopting a Dallas DogRRR.  ##430575##

Story
One of our fosters was driving down a rural highway and saw a brown dog running. They pulled over and this sweet little girl jumped right into the car. Unfortunately,  she did not have any tags on and was not microchipped. The harsh reality is that she was dumped like garbage to die of starvation. Tuesday is a perfect little lady. She gets along with dogs of all sizes and children plus she is housebroken! This little lady is always on her best behavior. ##439284##

Story
Bonnie is a bouncy dog that runs super fast.BONNIE is quite a girl!  She is so smart, attentive, playful, and independent and she can run like the wind.  She has been with us since she was a young puppy.  She gets along well with all dogs, big and small.  She especially loves a female dog that she can rough house with, or another puppy to play with.  She has all her shots, is spayed, microchipped, and is in perfect health.  She is crate trained, and is in the house most of the time except for playtime.  She would do best in a fenced yard if left alone.  We are in North Texas so if you are nearby and would like to meet her we can arrange it.  We require an application with references and we do a home safety check.  You can reach us at reddoghaven@gmail.com  Bonnie is looking for that special forever family.  We hope you will consider her if you think she is a fit for your lifestyle.

Story
• She's full of wild bursts of energy and sprints around like crazy for fun, she is very playful and mischievous! But, she also likes to snuggle up and take long naps! • Fears loud noises, & small children. • Commands: Stay, kennel, down, come, here, no, itchies, "aeh aeh" sound, & treat. • She sheds lightly. • Prefer an enclosed outdoor area, but if used to your home, she'll come back on her own if tired/bored. Try to walk her at least every other day. • The shelter found her after she had been hit by a car and had a broken pelvis/amputated tail. She was also suspected to have been in an abusive home before the accident, but she still has lots of love to give! • She chews/licks her paws excessively, it's harmless(dry skin/nervous habit). • You have to cover pills in Peanut Butter/Almond Butter! She hates pill pockets. • Bath: Will jump out & run/hide if you don't stay right there with her the whole time! • She likes to play with you! So she's usually not a fan of toys.

Story
I adopted Hank about a year and a half ago when he was 5 months old. He has been well taken care of and such a fun dog to be around. He is very timid & skiddish, so he is not the lovey dovey dog most people are used to. It took a while for him to warm up to me. But once he did we were inseparable. I have tried to see if a family member could watch him while I do travel nursing but I have been unsuccessful. So I feel it's best to give him up. He's a super low maintenance dog. He feeds off of your energy, so if you're up and moving around so is he, but if you're just hanging out so is he. I'm hoping to find him a loving home.

Story
Miss Piggy is our special needs girl, due to being blind in her right eye, and mostly deaf. Piggy is very sweet, but needs someone to work with her on communicating, and give her patience, while she learns her new environment. She seems to be very inteterested in cats, so we recommend a home without any. Miss Piggy is very people and dog friendly, polite, and well mannered. She will go to the door when she needs to go out to potty. She is a very loving dog...she just wants to be around some one all the time. She would do well in a home with another dog, and/or children, as she loves everyone! If interested in either fostering Piggy, or adopting, please fill out our online application: www.salvagedsoulspetrescue.org.
