Story
Meet Spam Age: about 6 Breed: wirehaired pointing griffon We have not had a chance to get to know this amazing girl. We do know she is protective of her person and is very leary of men. She has had to have tplo surgery and may need her other leg done later in life. TPLO, or tibial-plateau-leveling osteotomy, is a surgery performed on dogs to stabilize the stifle joint after ruptures of the cranial cruciate ligament. In the vast majority of dogs, the cranial cruciate ligament ruptures as a result of long-term degeneration, whereby the fibres within the ligament weaken over time.

Story
This is Gretchen (HWTH#18346A). She is a Pointer mix, DOB: 12/15/15. Gretchen weighs approximately 35 pounds and stands 18 inches at the shoulders. She is part of the 17 other dogs relinquished by a hoarder in the antelope valley. All the dogs were fed very poorly, lived outside and had no socialization. As a result Gretchen is timid with strangers but shows no signs of aggression and does warm up to you once she is acquainted. This sweet girl will need a new owner who is very kind, willing to work with her, give her the love and good-quality human companionship she has lacked in her life thus far. She will also need structure, playtime, regular exercise and training to help her discover the bond between dog and human. When Gretchen is thoroughly settled in her new Forever home, she will benefit from positive basic obedience training to help with leash training, other obedience commands and the most important, the bonding process. With lots of love and kindness, Gretchen should bond with her new owner fairly quickly and be able to live up to her potential as a loving, loyal canine companion. She is good with other dogs and is crate trained. For more information on Gretchen, please call Sandy at tele # 661-824-4495 (this is a land-line phone).
