Story
We adopted Gimli 6 years ago from a shelter. Gimli is 7 years old but is still a very energetic dog. He loves to snuggle as well so he is okay with lots of downtime. His favorite thing to do in bask in the sun. He loves spending lots of time outside during the spring and summer season laying on our deck. Gimli is very well potty trained and can ask to go outside by patting the back door. He also understands to sit, lay, wait, and can be called to your side by patting your hip. Gimli is a highly intelligent dog and we did training courses with him when we first adopted him. He is also dominant, he does well with our other submissive dog but has had issues with other dominant dogs in the past. Gimli is not great with small children and seems to fear their unpredictability. We do have one small toddler with another on the way and he can be patient with our son but has given him many warning growls. Gimli would do amazing with a home that can give him lots of exercise and love!
