Story
Titan is a 1.5 year old Akbash that we've had since 6 wks old. He was rescued from the mountains abandoned in winter. He has received all shots and been through extensive obedience training. However living in the suburbs has been taxing on him. With his breed he constantly is on guard outside and does trigger on strangers and all animals his size or smaller. He does get along with our 4 yr old rottweiler who he has grown up with, but we have not had him interacting with alot of dogs since he started being aggressive with them at around 6 months old. He tolerates small children well but can be food aggressive if not around an Alpha adult. He loves to play fetch and run through sprinklers. Enjoys the cooler temperatures of the mountains and snow. Likes to come in for a hug and a neck scratch before going to nap. With the birth of our son I am not able to spend the attention that he needs. I'm thinking he would do great on large property, possibly with livestock (have not tested)

Story
This big princess is nothing short of amazing & will steal your heart in 2 seconds flat. Daisy was pulled from a local Utah shelter in January after being surrendered by her previous family & has since made a fully recovery from a rear amputation + E. coli infection post-surgery. Daisy is about 110 lbs., 3 years old & has enough hair to make you a fur coat once a week ;-) Akbash (cousin to the Great Pyrenees) were bred to protect livestock & therefore have an instinct to alert bark & be a bit stubborn. Daisy has less of the stubbornness but will not be suitable for anyone living in an apartment (for many reasons) or duplex. She is a very mellow, easy dog & loves to just hang with you. She likes to go for short quick runs/walks but tires quickly on her back leg. She has done well with male dogs + less dominant females but will resource guard her toys + treats. She has done very well with children but will not be considered for a home with children under 8 years & they must be dog-savvy. A few non-negotiable requirements for Daisy’s new home: •few stairs/limited access to stairs •No deck or deck must be fully enclosed •Carpeting throughout the house or you must be willing to place carpets for her to be safe and comfortable •Owner must be physically able to handle Daisy + help her into a car if needed •Myristin (joint supplement) continued for life •Weight must be kept under control, being such a large tripod, having extra weight to carry around is not acceptable. She must also be kept on a grain free diet as she is allergic to corn. She’s a warrior & dealt with a lot in her life until now & deserves a very loving, respectful & patient family! She would love a yard to sit outside & watch mother nature go by :-) Adoption application link: https://form.jotform.co/93015834844864 She is currently being fostered in Draper, UT & is available for meet & greets.
