Story
Meet Diva Name: I earned my name at the City of San Antonio Animal Care Services. When taken to the clinic to be spayed, I held my breath causing the Doctors to be unable to facilitate the sedation for my surgery. I mean who does that? Who would hold their breath to get their own way except a true blue Diva???? I did eventually get spayed, but I showed them whose boss, initially. Breed: Google “Akita”. Textbook right here. Picture perfect. Akitas are large intimuttdating dogs with presence. Hi-yah! Me. Yes, I am all of those things. Akitas look as if someone wanted to blend a polar bear with a teddy bear and then threw in a raccoon and some unicorn sprinkles just to get the perfect blend of “wow” and “watch out”. My look screams “I am cute but I might cut you, you never know!” Age/Weight: I am 3 years old and 71 pounds of bodacious bootyfull body with a coat that is black, chocolate, white, silver and temporarily shaved due to matting. Idol: Miss Piggy. Not only can the girl rock a baby pink feather boa and satin gown like a rock star, but she didn’t even have to kiss a bunch of frogs to find a prince, instead she took matters into her own hooves and kissed one frog and told him he was her man even though he wasn’t a prince, he was still just a regular green frog. She doesn’t wait for the prince to save her, she makes her own fairy tail. Speaking of tails, mine is glorious! Repertoire: I have a bevy of skills in my repuptoire. Namingly, my amusing grunts, moans and gurgles and borks to let you know what a girl wants. If unfurmiliar with my breed, you might find me too domineering, but Akita people will find me to be very entertaining. Favorite Emoticon: The eye roll. Temperament: Akitas are known for being very connected to their family and I will shower you with love and adoration. I am no exception to the Akita rule, I will charge towards you for hugs and loves, so be prepared, my brakes don’t always work, but I mean well. I am a bit bossy, but what Diva isn’t? I think most folks will find me to be sweet, won’t you????? Good With Other Dogs: I am playful with other dogs and love to romp in the pasture with them. Howlever, keep in mind, other dogs can find me to be *gasps as she holds her pawverbial pearl string necklace* bossy and overbearing. I need my space and will let them know. So if you have a dog that would find a diva to be too much, I might not be a good fit. Final Word: Of course I get the final word, a diva always gets the last word. Loyalty is a 24/7 job, not a part time job. I am looking for a full time family to give my love and loyalty and all my affection to. Is it you? She's in great health and loves her walks. Sierra is a great neutral so she can fit in with male or female dogs but she's a no cats since she likes to stalk them. She's met kids on walks and has had great experiences since they love to pet her! She hasn't lived with human kids but doesn't have any concerns about them. She's an easy going girl that would love to meet you! Sierra would like a yard to run in and does great with a doggy door! Sierra is on prescription food and will need to continue with that diet. Story
Vince is Sierra's sibling - he wouldn't mind if you wanted to adopt his sister too but they can be separated Vince is a looker and he knows it. He's an 8 year old Husky that will be the center of attention. Aside from being beautiful he's also a charming guy. He's pretty easy going and well mannered. Vince likes dogs but prefers the company of females. He loves to RUN so he'd like a nice yard and some adventures where he can get it all out of his system. He's not one to sit still, he likes to keep moving and will follow you around so you can pet him . If there's attention to give he'll be right there to soak it all in. Vince cannot be around cats due to his prey drive. He has met kids on walks and does well with them, but remember, Vince is the center of attention! If you'd like to meet Vince or Sierra please complete the adoption application from https://mustlovedogsnw.org. Vince's adoption fee is $250 or $400 for the pair.
