Joker is originally from Germany and lived there with me for 4 years. We then moved to Austin and have been here since. Joker is very sweet and loves attention. He is 11 years old as of April 5th, 2020. Joker is very well house trained and lives with another small dog and 2 small children. He has a very sweet demeanor and gets along with small children very well. Unfortunately, it is in the best interest for Joker to find another home. I am expecting another baby and won’t be able to care for Joker the way he needs. He is getting older and has difficulty walking and often falls. My home is too small now with my growing family and Joker. He is low maintenance as far as walks go because he is older and isn’t able to go on long walks. He is has a pure heart and loves to cuddle!

Donnie came to us when he was 2 months old. He has a heart of gold but will protect you and your backyard like his life depended upon it. He has had obedient training at Sit means Sit. He would be best suited in a family with no dogs, he wants to be the alfa dog. He loves to snuggles and be up on you :). We have a 9 month old and that combined with two jobs, two cats, another dog, it has become too much. This has been a tough choice but we have choose this route. We have high standard on the house he will be rehomed in, we have to feel comfortable. I have updated the profile to say no other dogs in the house as it probably be for the best with no other dogs. We look forward to speaking with you.

So, I am Kermit the Dog, and I am pleased to make your acquaintance.I was found in a vacant lot outside of Austin by a kind stranger. I could not lift myself, could not walk, was nothing more than a big, ponderously lopsided head atop a skeleton with drum taught skin. The kind fellow took me to Austin Animal Center, where I was bathed and fed, where I met a foster family that were volunteering that day, a foster family who had spent ten minutes that morning in their automobile promising one another that they would not go home with another dog.I am Kermit the rosy-minded promise breaker, the one that makes a beautiful liar of you. On the way to their home I slept with my head on her lap as he drove me to meet my foster brothers and sister. I am Kermit the Picasso.My snout is somewhere between Pyrenees and Pug, I have one half of an ear on the right side of my head, a broken and drooping ear on the left side, and my tail is bent in so many places that when it wags (as it does often, because I am Kermit the Happy) it looks like a question mark fluttering in the wind.I am Kermit the Indefatigable. I try not to think of my life before this, but at some point I was discarded.Which makes me Kermit, the Most Magnificent Trash. I am Kermit the Curious. Where are you going? the bathroom? Emmett came to AAC as a stray so we are still learning more about him. So far, volunteers have described Emmett as a “chonky, sweet ham.” Emmett loves treats, water/swimming, and exploring the play yard. He can be a strong puller on the leash because there are places to go and people to see! While he might show some curious interest in other dogs while on walks, he doesn’t bark or pull towards them. In fact, Emmett has experience living with other dogs so he likely wouldn’t mind having a doggie sibling in his forever home. Overall, Emmett is an active, goofy boy looking for a home where he will get plenty of exercise, training, and love. He has so much potential to be a wonderful companion.
