Story
Meet dazzling DixieLou... or as she's affectionately called, Dixie Chick or Dixie Doolittle! This 4.5-year-old, 87-pound Bully mix girl is eager to find a family where she can be the star of the show. Dixie adores swimming and hiking so she would love an active owner who wants a dedicated doggy.  Dixie needs a fenced yard or leashed walks since she loves to explore. Once outdoor adventures are done and it is time to head inside, Dixie has a fondness for naps and wants to cuddle in your lap.  She is indeed the queen of the castle.  She wants to be your one and only pup.  As a matter of fact, she will tell you she loves you as she squeals with delight when you come home. Dixie is already housetrained and crate trained and gets along fine with cats. Dixie has been a loved family member but she is needing to find a new home due to not getting along with the other dogs. If you are looking for a friendly and devoted companion, look no further than Dixie girl! This dog is in Tennessee. Adoption Donation $175 if picked up in TN, $225 plus transport fee for out of state adoptions.  Interested in adopting? Take the first step and complete an adoption application on our website: http://aarf-tn.com/adopt/adoption-apps/ If you have questions that are not covered in the profile, visit the Pet Inquiry Form: http://aarf-tn.com/contact/pet-inquiry-form/. THIS PET IS FOSTERED IN TENNESSEE! We do list and adopt our pets nationwide. Typical transport cost to the Northeast is $160, but may be less depending on your location (Due to interstate adoption regulations, we are not able to adopt to RI and MA state residents.) A.A.R.F. (All About Rescue and Fixin' Inc.) http://aarf-tn.com/ is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) no kill animal rescue organization located in the Upper Cumberland area of Tennessee. A.A.R.F. is comprised of unpaid volunteers and survives only on public donations. Thank you for thinking adoption first! Prior to adoption, all canines and felines are spayed or neutered, have received their age appropriate vaccinations, have been de-wormed for common parasites, and have received treatment for prevention of fleas and ticks. All canines over the age of 6 months have been tested for heartworm. All canines are put on heartworm prevention as soon as possible - this means dogs as soon as they are tested negative. Puppies are put on prevention immediately. All felines, regardless of age, have been tested for Feline Leukemia/FIV. Each animal receives a health check by a licensed veterinarian prior to adoption. Anything else found will be treated by our organization prior to adoption.

Story
Friendly Frank is a handsome 7 year old American Bulldog/Beagle mix that has the most wonderful smile and sweet personality on the planet.  This 40 pound boy has been in a family setting with his brother since he was just 4-5 weeks old.  He and his brother were adopted together and have lived as a pair for the past 7 years with one major problem….his brother picks on him and beats up him almost weekly.  Now with a new baby in the home and training advice that has not really worked. the mom and dad think that Frank needs a new home of his own so the fights don’t continue and one day involve their human child.   Frank and everyone else will live a much more peaceful life if he finds a great new home.   The reason you should consider Friendly Frank is this….he is the BEST and HAPPIEST dog ever.  Just look at his smile!  He is a great combination of the Beagle joy and warmth and the chunky build and coloring of an American Bulldog with a little stubbornness thrown in for Bulldog good measure. He is perfection when it comes to housebreaking, sleeping all night in his dog bed (which he loves), good with other dogs (unless they jump on him) and he is just a loving soul that will bring good things to your life. It is best that Frank finds a new home where he have more constant company and not crated during the workday for his owners who might be away 8-9 hours.  He needs some polishing and consistency on his housebreaking and could be trained nicely if someone is home more and away during the workday. This love bug deserves to have a family or maybe an empty nest couple that will enjoy his fun personality and playful nature and energy. Critter Cavalry Rescue wants to help this special family and special dog find some peace by rehoming Friendly Frank.  Frank is fully vetted and neutered and just a happy and loving soul.   This boy has many years ahead of him and if you are interested please email at ccrtennessee@gmail.com    PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.com  Sorry, we cannot adopt to MA residents.

Story
PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet. This puppy is located in Arkansas. He/She is listed in all of the states we offer transport to, but is physically located in Arkansas until adopted, at which time he will be transported out of state. *****THIS DOG IS A COURTESY LISTING FOR OUT OF THE ASHES. ALL ADOPTION FEES WILL BE PAID DIRECTLY TO THEM THROUGH PAYPAL OR VENMO***** Caroline was found as a stray mama dog with 9 sweet babies. She was very immaciated and desperate for help. Upon further inspection, we realized that Caroline had a dislocated hip and when we took her for xrays we realized that she not only had a dislocated rear leg but she a fractured pelvis, a broken front leg and a fractured rear leg. Our mama to 9 brand new babies had suffered an incredibly painful birth and had learned to move around with 3 damaged legs. The 2 broken legs had already half healed and we opted to leave them alone. After Caroline weaned her puppies, she had surgery for a femoral head ostectomy to repair her dislocated hip and she has made a full recovery. Caroline does great with all people. She has met cats but has no real interactions with them. Caroline has been living with other dogs. She would do best with low energy, maintenance dogs. She has had altercations over toys and bones but has been successfully socialized with good supervision. All of her vet records are available from both the clinic where she was xrayed and treated and the clinic where she received her surgery. She is pending a spay appointment.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Our typical adoption fee for puppies younger than 6 months old is $300-$350, and for older puppies and adults, the usual fee is $250. This includes spay/neuter if old enough, (If not old enough for spay/neuter, the puppy will be adopted on a spay/neuter contract, which will require the adopter to have him/her spayed/neutered no later than 6 months of age), up to date age appropriate vaccinations, dewormings, flea/tick treatment, and heartworm test (if over 6 months old) as well as heartworm treatment if they test positive. There is a transport fee of $140 per dog. We use Uber Dog Animal Rescue Transport, and you can see more about them at www.uberdogart.com. For more info regarding adopting, email kelley.aasr@gmail.com. Thank you for considering one of our rescue babies!
