Story
My mother rescued Missy 9 years ago, when she was approx. 5 years old. We are no longer able to keep her as my mother is now living out of state and we will be moving soon, as well. She has led a very quiet life. We are just looking for a home where Missy can live out her remaining life peacefully. She eats a low-fat diet (veterinary recommended) and takes analapril for kidney issues. She is not good with children and sometimes has issues with men. She is a great companion for an elderly person.

Story
Missy is a rescue dog which we adopted approx. eight years ago. She has been a close companion for my mother (age 91) ever since. However, our family is moving out of state very soon and will not be able to take her. We believe her to be 13 years old. She is a lovable dog, but being a rescue, she has issues. She does not like men but she gets used to the idea if there is a male in the household. She will be nervous & anxious until she gets to know you. Once bonded, she will always be at your side. She is not good with young kids. She never learned to play, so she will not "fetch" for you. She was mostly an indoor dog, but loves walks. Her shots and health care are up to date. Being an older dog, she does have some health issues. She has a sensitive stomach and eats only the gastrointestinal diet food. She also takes a medication Enalapril for kidney function & OTC acid controller. She would be a great companion for a caring, older person who does not mind the responsibility.
