Hi there! I'm living proof that a pit mix can be an excellent pet! I am a rapid learner who wants to please. I will be wonderful for a one-dog household or with my pen mate and best friend, Big Boy (see his listing also).I'd like to be inside-outside and am looking forward to a home with a fenced exercise area. I also like to go walking on leash. My birthdate was around early Feb. 2009. The shelter folks say my pretty coloring makes them think of milk chocolate cocoa with marshmallows. Besides standard shots, we dogs are de-wormed and vaccinated for bordatella. Interested, I hope? She knows sit, down, wait and stay. She needs a family that will continue to ask her to do the things she knows to do. She gets along with male dogs but would prefer to be the only female in the home. She is a sweetheart and we would like to find her a caring family that will love her forever. They call me Precious. Because, well, I'm pretty Precious! I came to the pound earlier in December looking quite pregnant. The good folks here found a foster home for me when I was a little closer to giving birth, but a week later I had a slim waist so they made an appointment to get me spayed. When I went to the doctor I was fat again and the doc thought I was pregnant...turns out I was not! Doc thinks I just imagine that I am because I have had babies before and I must have loved them and wanted more. Not to be! I have been spayed and am looking for a family that I can love like I loved my babies! I'm about 2 years old and I weigh 42 lbs. I'm as sweet as I am precious and don't mind the dogs that are polite.
