Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Bullett is a big sweet boy who was adopted from the shelter as a puppy and grew up with a family who loved him. But he grew to be bigger than their lease allowed, and the family was being fined $100 per day, so they returned him to the shelter.  They apparently never realized how important it is to do at least a little bit of leash-training, so now, Bullett thinks a leash is the worst thing in the world. He is so aggressively reactive to the leash that he was at risk of being euthanized at the shelter. But one of the animal control officers reached out to ask for help, and Bluebonnet agreed to give him safe harbor. At Windsong Ranch, Bullett is as sweet as can be. But getting him to the vet was a major challenge because of his leash aggression. We had to muzzle him for everyone's safety. But once he was back home, he turned back into a goofy pup. He will need training and patience to learn to tolerate the leash. If you would like to make Bullett part of your family so that YOU can be the one who builds a bond with him as you train him, please complete the application at www.bluebonnetrescue.orgVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Summer was born to working livestock guardian parents, and grew up on a working farm in the Texas Hill Country. She has been exposed to chickens, goats, sheep, donkeys, and longhorn cattle. She grew up with young children and other dogs, so she has been well socialized and will make a wonderful addition to your small farm, ranch or homestead.  She's still young, so she will need proper introductions to your animals, and she will continue to need supervision around the livestock while she matures. At Windsong Ranch, Summer is living in the pasture under the supervision of our best LGD, Miss Rennie. Summer has been spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped, so she is ready to find her forever home.  Please submit your application at www.bluebonnetrescue.org.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Prince Albert is a big young boy who needs a nice big yard or small acreage with secure fencing. He has no trouble climbing over our 5' tall fencing, but so far, our 6' fencing seems to keep him contained.  He wants to be close to his people, and will definitely not stay in the pasture as a livestock guardian. BUT, he so far hasn't shown a lot of interest in living inside the house. We think perhaps the ideal home for Albert would be a home in the country where he could enjoy life in a big back yard, preferably with another big dog as his companion. He doesn't bark excessively, so he shouldn't annoy your neighbors if he lives outside. Of course, he needs good shelter -- in his foster home, he prefers sleeping in the garage. Albert is NOT safe with cats or chickens. He seems to be safe with goats, donkeys, and cattle, but since he lives in the yard and NOT the pasture, we can't say that is an absolute certainty. We will adopt him out only as a pet or guardian of hearth and home, NOT as an LGD. If you would like to adopt Prince Albert, please complete an application on our website at www.bluebonnetrescue.org.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Nico is one of several dogs who were found on a ranch in the Texas Hill Country. We can only speculate, but we believe that the property owners sold their livestock, moved away, and left the dogs to fend for themselves.  Nico's mom Lydia is VERY friendly, but her pups (two generations) are completely unsocialized, so we're guessing they may have been born after the people moved. Nico is still extremely skittish of people and has made VERY slow progress. He absolutely will not walk on a leash. He has a big bark which would come in handy for keeping predators and intruders away. If you are ready to make the commitment to devote yourself to earning Nico's trust, please go to www.bluebonnetrescue.org to complete our application.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.

Story
Brady is a year and a half old Anatolian Shepherd. He loves to be outside and is friendly with everyone. That being said, he needs discipline to continue to be instilled in his life. He is an anxious dog and needs owners that will love him as we have loved him. I WILL NOT GIVE HIM TO A FAMILY OR COUPLE THAT I DO NOT TRUST OR GET A GOOD FEELING ABOUT, AS THIS DOG IS OUR WORLD. It breaks my heart to let him go after everything we have been through, but with the current set of circumstances, he will be much happier in a place with more space and a family that can make him a happy dog. He listens to commands, such as sit, lay down, shake, and bark. He will listen to his name if no distraction is present. He needs to be on a leash unless in a yard or house. He is an extremely loving, gentle, and kind dog that will make for a great family protector. He has not been neutered and I would really prefer if he not be. Of course that is up to the new family. He is an amazing dog

Story
This girl is doing amazing well despite her initial prognosis.  She is a fighter and filling out and growing into such a beautiful dog.  She seems to be adapting well and just needs her meds 3x a day to maintain what her body needs.  She is so sweet and so worth the extra effort of just a few meds and perhaps we few extra checks ups now and then.  But we are so pleased with the results of her surgery and so glad to see her feeling and doing so well. Valentine was rescued last Feb, she is a Pyrenees Anatolian mix, about 70 lbs, had a liver shunt and had surgery to help her. She needs medicine 3x a day. She is very sweet and beautiful, she loves her humans and wants to be sure they are safe at all times.  She is a good girl, a bit shy out of her element but as long as she has you she feels safe. Valentine is great with other pups, playful and gentle and doesn’t bother her foster sibling kitty. All Dallas DogRRR adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption.  The standard minimum donation for puppies is $325 + 8.25% tax =  $351.81, for dogs over 12 months the adoption fee is $225 + 8.25% tax = $243.66 and for our senior dogs 8 years and up is $100 + 8.25% tax = $108.25; this increase includes sales tax recently required by the State of Texas to collect.  You can view all the adoptable pets and fill out an adoption application online on our website at http://dallasdogrrr.org.  For more information, you can email adopt@dallasdogrrr.org.   For more information, you can email adopt@dallasdogrrr.org.  Upon receiving your application please allow us 2-3 business days to review and process.  ##214068##
