Story
For my birthday my friend gave me a puppy without realizing that i currently had 2 other dogs one of them being a puppy who i love dearly. I hate to do this but it's for the best. Her name is Lucy. Shes up to date on shots as far as i know. She does have a limp from her leg being stepped on by kids. However she does not get along with other dogs/cats/and other small pets. She will need to be the only pet in the home. I'm not able to even pet my other puppy without her xxxx@xxxx.x loves kids..and people but she needs to sniff you at her own pace...or else she will bark and or be aggressive. I can't keep her for very much longer, she's causing too many issues in my home. I've only had her for a few days and she's already shown me she can't co exist with other pets. I'm not able to spend much time with my puppy that I've rescued and had since 6 weeks old and its devastating to me. Having to re home my other dog would kill me. I really hope she can become someones best friend.

Story
Meet Porky! Porky arrived in our care as an unclaimed stray.Porky is barky with new people at first but warms up quickly. He is very independent and loves his food. We think he would make a great house alert dog because he loves to bark.Porky is house trained and crate trained. Porky would do best with older kids. He is indifferent to other dogs and cats, so he may be able to get along with them in his new home as long as they aren't in his face.Porky's adoption fee has been sponsored!Porky is a chunky boy! He weighs about 50 pounds and would love an owner who can make sure he gets regular exercise to help him lose some of his weight. Porky's adoption fee has been sponsored!

Story
Hi, my name is Mason! I was brought into the shelter for no fault of my own. I'm a good boy who has LOTS of energy. I love to go on walks and runs. I love to play with all the toys, but squeaky toys and ropes are my favorite. I'm also food and treat motivated. I love, love, love to eat. I do have calm moments and just like to snuggle up and chill out. Come take me outside and get to know me!

Please read entire description. Roadie's adoption fee is $175. If interested, please complete an application on our website at www.pawswapofgreaterlafayette.com/adopting. Road is looking for a new home. This little, 40 pound cattle dog is about 2 years old. He was rescued from a busy intersection dragging a lead. No owner came forward. We have learned that Roadie is great with other dogs and good with people. He is crate trained and mostly house trained although he still will have accidents if he gets sidetracked from going straight outside. Roadie is pretty quiet. He also is fairly cuddly once he warms up to new people. He is likely just fine with older children. We typically steer clear of herding breeds and very young children. He doesn't seem to have any learned skills working on a farm, etc and is very people oriented. Due to being a little darty and his near death experience running loose prior to being rescued, we feel a securely fenced yard is ideal for this guy and a requirement. We are requiring an inside home where he will be a valued family member. This adorable guy is neutered, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, and microchipped. If interested in meeting him, please complete an application on our website at www.pawswapofgreaterlafayette.com/adopting. His adoption fee is $175.
